Attention Magic the Valiant cards ~ Ninjak UK Exclusive!!!!

Post by Phantom »

Hello all.
I was involved in printing Magic the Valiant cards, and shipping them out along with Ninjak Uk exclusive and Solar prints.
The graphics was done by Marco, and I had help financially from MagnusR. You where only charged the exact cost of printing the cards, comic / print, postage.. No profit, was made, actually a loss was made doing this for the boards.

If you liked the cards, appreciated the effort it took to collect the comics and prints. Maybe you could spare some money to help some children and adults in need. This is not funding research, this is helping an organisation called 'Eddies'.
Extract from their website "Eddie's provides a wide range of services for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, and their families and carers. We offer practical support and lots of exciting opportunities."
Money is used for administration of volunteers and covering costs of activities. Front line help to family and carers who support those who have disabilities. Group days out, speech and language therapy, hydrotherapy, art therapy, gardening aswell as running cafes where disabled people can work and gain work experience.

A very easy way to donate would be through paypal shop@eddies.org.uk.
Please visit http://www.eddies.org.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and read what they do. Even if you don't donate, read and check out the support network in the UK.
Now they asked me where the money should be distributed ~ I said as they saw fit.

Many people will get automatically suspicious, as for the subject they asked to use " archer's family support service" ~ which sounds like money will be allocated to me. Which it will not be. I think she ment. "Archer" (my son) to keep track of incoming funds and were it is coming from (who arranged it), and it is for "family support services"

Family support services arranges volunteers (unpaid) to be trained, these trained volunteers then go out and visit disabled children and do one to one activities with them at their family home. For example, tuesday each week we have a lady come over and play, read, and do motor skill development with Archer, for 1h 1/2.

If you think the paypal address is not for you, due to the message to be attached or maybe fees that go to paypal .
Please visit the website.
An easy link to donate is http://www.eddies.org.uk/get-involved/donate.asp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The chubby boy on the right of the page is Archer (not chubby anymore) and the girl kneeling in the background is my daughter Lilou.

If you feel money going to funding therapy or training volunteers who help support families who have children with disabilities, is not for you. Feel free to donate to http://www.lejeuneclinic.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; donate page is http://www.lejeuneclinic.com/donate" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. They offer support by also do medical reaserch on chromosome disorders. Additional benefits from this research it is helping people suffering from Alzheimers and Cystic Fibrosis.

Thanks for reading.

Hey Phantom, thanks for getting this posted up. :thumb:

I may have to wait until after work (they said paypal/FB/ebay and some other sites are going to be blocked soon), but will be donating some funds asap.

I'll use this as another opportunity to say thanks to ShadowTuga and Phantom for doing for us.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

Hey, no problem, I know you mentioned it initially when the cards were being offered that there would be a charity component after everything was sent out so I wanted to give you that reminder.

One quick Q re: paypal. I was gonna send last night, but then realized that paypal has no options for a charity. Should I use the friends and family vs goods and services?

I assume the friends and family part since it saves them $, but dont know if that will mess them up since they are a charity.... Anyone know?

Don't know sorry.
Maybe if they pay the fee, they can clam in back in tax.
If you pay the fee it is just generous.

Thanks Nscc :thumb:
