LOTG #2

Post by rai4ever »

I was able to buy and read issue 1 but have not been able to obtain issue 2. It's upsetting to hear OTV talking about it and not be able to get one from my comic store. Not happy Valiant doing this exclusive thing. I'll continue to look for an issue on eBay for the right price.

Issue number 2 was a fun read for me. Its been a month(ish) since I read it last, but I really liked the adventure aspect and the end cliffhanger. I was kind of miffed at the exclusive aspect of LotG, but after I got it through Midtown, I was happy and all hard feelings were made well. I know.... I know I am shallow, but I am just liking these Valiant comics too much. You will not be disappointed though with issue two.

Not exclusive, limited. Any store could have ordered these. If a store ended up with less copies of #2 than #1 then that seems foolish of them, especially the way the discounts were structured. I got a great deal on my copy, but feel it's worth spending a premium on for what it is.

I'd pay $10 for it if I can find it.

Exclusive to retailers who buy x amount or limited to retailers who buy x amount, but you are right jeremycoe, with the term limited, as that was the official term I believe. I am glad that 2, 3, and 4 are running less expensive than number 1 though. I'm sure $10 is completely possible.

I thought #2, was much better than #1. If you want Spoilers. http://www.valiantfans.com/forum/viewto ... 33&t=46563" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I especially enjoyed #2 after I payed closer attention to some of the symbolism Van Lente was using.

#2 was such a joy to read, I'm really looking forward to reading #3 this week, and seeing how the story progresses.

I'm 90% positive that All About Books and Comics in Phoenix has issues available at $10. They ship. If I'm wrong, I apologize in advance, but they had about half a dozen copies 2 weeks ago.

I'd suggest giving them a call.

I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

I like the book, I like how they made it a incentive. It was not that hard to get. A lot of stores just didn't want to do any work for it.
