Hello everyone, this is my Valiant Story

Post by ChiptheRipper »

Hi all, I have been a Valiant fan ever since the fall of 2014. I am a college student who was trying to get back into comic books after not reading them all through high school, but I just didn't care for the way the storylines put out by the big companies never seemed to matter. Characters never stayed dead, the status quo never changes in any meaningful way, ect. I was introduced to Valiant by a friend who recommended Harbinger to me because I enjoy X-Men. I was instantly hooked, and got digital copies of all of the new Valiant material and caught up with the whole universe. I particularly enjoy Harbinger and Manowar, but I really read mostly everything. I couldn't really get into Rai, but I'm about to give it another try so hopefully I enjoy it :D . I found this board a few months after I started reading and have lurked and read opinions of new issues (this really is the best place for Valiant discussion I've found), but with all the events that have been occurring (The Valiant, BOD, Imperium) I decided to make an account and maybe see if I could contribute thoughts every now and then. It's nice to meet you all, and I can't wait to talk about comics with you.
I also like all the smileys you have, they're awesome haha :high-five:

Welcome, good to see new fans come aboard after giving Valiant a try. Hopefully Rai gets better for you, the character is awesome and the premise has a lot of potential.

Yeah I think I'll like it more now that I ordered the TPB, I think my biggest problem was how difficult it is to read the text in the digital versions. The art is amazing though!
