Favorite quotes and exchanges from comics
What is your favorite quote or exchange from a comic?
The first one is from The Ultimates vol.1 #12 or #13.
Captain America:"What do you think this 'A' on my helmet stands for? France?!"
My favorite exchange between two characters is from The Transformers: Generation 2 #7 (I think)
Megatron: "Why him? They all asked me that. Why did I revive Starscream? The one Decepticon whose record for deceit and treason is legendary. I'll tell you why: Because I'm an idiot that's why?"
Optimus Prime: "While I'm tempted to record that last sentence for all time I think we have more pressing matters at the moment LIKE STAYING ALIVE!"

Know this: I would rather be hated for being honest for my opinions, than being loved as a liar!

I think it would flow better if he said "son," instead of "friend," but still, can't wait to see how this scene plays out in the movie.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Re: Favorite quotes and exchanges from comics
Daredevil has always been a treasure trove of amazing monologue, dialogue, and one-liners. For a non-Frank Miller example (the ones above from Miller's Born Again are very good!), here's Brian Michael Bendis, back when he was still a really really good writer:
The set-up: Wilson Fisk has just been assassinated, with the assistance of his cowardly son, Richard Fisk. Vanessa Fisk, the Kingpin's wife, took it upon herself to exact revenge on her son.
This is one of the finest moments in Daredevil history. I remembered when I first read this, my eyes were welling up with tears because it was just so...powerful. The use of the silent panels, the natural-sounding but powerful dialogue, the images telling a lot of the story. Bendis was really really good.

One of the funniest I've seen was from Transformers More Than Meets the Eye 33
Autobot Megatraon volunteers to shrink down, because he used to Transform into a gun, and help save the day. When asked why he just now remembered he could do that, he states oh I could`ve said something earlier but here`s a survival tip, when everyone`s lineing up to make sacrifices always get to the back of the queue

-Watchmen"Stood in firelight, sweltering. Bloodstain on chest like map of violent new continent. Felt cleansed. Felt dark planet turn under my feet and knew what cats know that makes them scream like babies in night. Looked at sky through smoke heavy with human fat and God was not there. The cold, suffocating dark goes on forever and we are alone. Live our lives, lacking anything better to do. Devise reason later. Born from oblivion; bear children, hell-bound as ourselves, go into oblivion. There is nothing else. Existence is random. Has no pattern save what we imagine after staring at it for too long. No meaning save what we choose to impose. This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. It is not God who kills the children. Not fate that butchers them or destiny that feeds them to the dogs. It’s us. Only us. Streets stank of fire. The void breathed hard on my heart, turning its illusions to ice, shattering them. Was reborn then, free to scrawl own design on this morally blank world. Was Rorschach."

"Utron... we would have words with thee..."
This scene and that line was also the biggest missed opportunity in Avengers 2.
