Everybody seems to be running late. DC's full solicits aren't out yet to my knowledge and Marvel just dropped theirs yesterday. I'm only seeing full solicits from Dark Horse and Marvel at the moment.

While we're waiting, here's my best attempt:

Bloodshot Reborn #1
Lemire, Suayan
Bloodshot. He's Reborn. Explosive first issue.

Ivar, Timewalker #4
Van Lente, Henry
Explosive finale to the first explosive story arc.

Divinity #3
Kindt, Hairsine
Who is Divinity? Will we find out in this explosive issue?

Ninjak #2
Kindt, Mann, Guice
Ninjak make something explode! Also, how do you pronounce Guice?

Imperium #3
Dysart, Brathwaite
This book will make your head explode!

Quantum & Woody Must Die! #4
Asmus, Lieber
The explosive finale to this miniseries! Will Quantum & Woody die? They must! It says so in the title.

Rai #8
Kindt, Crain
Watch Rai's head explode in the finale to his second story arc. Has a Rai ever lasted more than 8 issues? Let's find out if this one can.

Unity #17
Kindt, Perez
The Eternal Warrior is still alive. He makes some random bad guy's head explode in this issue.

X-O Manowar #35
Venditti, Bernard
Dead Hand Part 2 - Can a hand's head explode?
Alone, listless, breakfast table in an otherwise empty room.

All of the books look great. I'll be getting all the monthlies, even Q&W.

A lot of TBPs and HCs in April! That will be an interesting month to look at total sales numbers...

Interestingly, after April Rai likely takes a hiatus and Q&W Must Die wraps up. Divinity wraps the following month. That leaves 3 openings on the roster for Summer 2015. I'd assume another Q&W mini will jump in and likely Dr. Mirage Second Life (probably also a mini) and the Milligan/Nord EW mini Nord teased.

Of course, May would likely launch the next Summer event/crossover... :hm:

EW trade is only three issues. The BS trade is probably meatier than that with issue 25 and extra material from BS #1.

I'm hoping DCBS will have 1 of them for 50% off. I'll preorder that one and then buy the other when it's released.

So:

EW trade: 104 pages $14.99

Bloodshot trade: 112 Pages $14.99

Dr. Mirage trade: 128 pages $9.99

Not just a great read but an excellent bargain in trade...

I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

Excited! Especially that we don't have the old quantum and woody. I buy every comic except I skipped those. No interest at all. But super excited about all 9 of these!

This is what I posted in the CBR forums.
Looks like I'll be getting everything but X-O and Imperium, like usual.

Thoughts on Valiant's April solicits:

1. Bloodshot Reborn looks like it's gonna be legendary. Also, it's gonna be $4/40 pages, like Ninjak! But seriously... what the hell is Bloodshot going to go through in The Valiant to get the this point?
2. Ninjak: I'm sensing a theme in the LaRosa covers. Issue 1 has arrows stuck in Ninjak. And issue 2 has arrows coming at Ninjak. What's issue 3 gonna look like? The Raul Allen variant is awesome too.
3. Imperium: I think I've decided on waiting for the trades for Imperium. I'm not really feeling the plain, Raul Allen, character covers, or the Braithwaite covers. Also... I already have all of Harbinger collected in trades, so it'll look really good on my shelf.
4. X-O Manowar: I'm not sure how I feel about Dead Hand. I'm sure it'll be good, but it just looks like a cheap Armor Hunters cash-in. Clearly, knowing Venditti and Diego Bernard, I'm probably 100% off-base. The Jorge Molina covers are 10000000x better than the LaRosa covers imo. I really hope this doesn't cross over with any other titles.
5. Divinity: Holy s**t, is that Ninjak on the cover?!? First Immortal Enemy, then Divinity? Ninjak's a freakin boss. I understand the point of the Tom Muller covers, but they're just boring imo.
6. Unity: I'm SO pumped for Pere Perez on Unity. He's one of my favorite Valiant artists, and he killed it on Archer & Armstrong (multiple times). I'm diggin the Clayton Henry, Livewire close-up, a lot.
7. TPB's/HC's: I'm curious what Valiant is going to do with X-O's Deluxe Vol. 3, because basically, the Armor Hunters Deluxe IS X-O Vol. 3. I hope they just skip the Armor Hunters arc and put #0, Enter Armorines, Dead Hand, and the next arc in the next deluxe edition.
8. Future: There are going to be 2 open spots in May's solicitations with Rai (assuming this arc ends at #8) and Q&W ending, and then 3 in June, when Divinity ends. Something huge is gonna happen this summer.
dornwolf wrote:Also does that Bloodshot trade sound just a little light on content to anyone else.
Yes. Yes it does. They probably should've just put 24 and 25 in the Armor Hunters: Bloodshot TPB. It'd be pretty big, but it would still be less issues than Harbinger Vol. 5, and it'd clearly be a better option than only two issues in a trade, especially when it's $15!!
BugsySig wrote: EW trade is only three issues. The BS trade is probably meatier than that with issue 25 and extra material from BS #1.
I feel like the Days of Steel trade should be $10.

A bit surprised that Q2 is getting the Deluxe treatment if for no other reason than it's only 5 issues.
