ValiantComics.com Brings John Taddeo into Chat TUESDAY NIGHT
Some members met John Taddeo online a few nights ago and
I've received numerous requests for a transcript of their chat.
Since our chat transcripts don't save, I'll do one better than a
copy of a transcript. We'll bring him back!
Join us TUESDAY NIGHT AT 9:00PM EASTERN to meet
the comic fan trying to bring back the Valiant Universe.
I'll be asking John some of the things on all our minds and then
we'll open up the floor to questions as well as talk about John's
current project with Valiant Alumni Bob Layton and Bart Sears - ZOOM SUIT,
as well as another upcoming project with Andy Smith!
So think of your Valiant questions, check out Bob and Bart's latest work
on ZOOM SUIT, watch the ZOOM SUIT animated preview and join us
in chat at 9:00pm Eastern.

Cool. Nice of him and of you.greg wrote:ValiantComics.com Brings John Taddeo into Chat TUESDAY NIGHT
Considering the time I also have to ask for transcripts afterwards.
Also, if someone could ask about the status of the existing stories, that'd be nice. I mean the stories that do include Magnus and Solar, can they be referenced? Or would there have to be new back-grounds for some characters? Also, can Phil be used as a character if he never calls himself Solar? That kind of things.
I'm sure you all will transmit the best wishes we feel for his project.
/Magnus

Wow this sounds awesome....I'll definitely be there watching the flood of questions roll in....that is if I can figure out how to use the chat!! Ok bear with me I don't use IRC and whenever I try to use the chat I get as far as entering my name, and then (I'm at work so I can't test out what happens next) if I remember correctly it asks for an IRC chat number, or room number, name or something? Can anyone help me out as far as how to enter the Valiantcomics chat? I gotta see this!! Thanks!

(Then click the "Enter Chat" button... pressing 'enter' doesn't work.)
The server and room name are automatically handled by the chat window.

The chatroom software does not allow logging, or copying the text,
however, ManOfTheAtom uses a different IRC program that does allow
logging... and he has agreed to create a transcript of the chat for us.

Sure... you guys can post your questions in this topic before the event...Byrneout wrote:I *am* looking forward to the transcript - but would there be a way to submit questions before the event?
(let's say that questions should be posted by 7pm Eastern)... then John will
have a chance to review them all and be ready to discuss them in the chat.

Hey Greg, one thing that I've noticed to be a pain in the chat room is that when people log in or out it creates a lot of verbiage which moves the actual conversation way up higher. With the large number of people that will probably be logging in for this thing, is there any way to limit people loggin in and out to make the reading of the conversation possible / easier? Maybe a friendly reminder to just stay logged in?

Just got home and what I get is:
***Not in any channel yet, please type "/join #your_channel" first
This is on FireFox so perhaps that's the problem.
When I try on IE the chat window opens and then crashes!!
Anyway I'm sure there's enough logistical planning around this chat so don't worry too much about ol' 1A as long as there's a transcript!!

Firefox aint the prob man...that's what I'm using, works fine...
check to see that you have java installed on your machine, I would say that is the problem.
make sure any pop up blockers are off as well...
If your settings are too tight that will also have an effect...make it ask you about the certificate and click yes...
