I'll be there Friday the 4th. Hope to see you. I wish I could be there for the Valiant panel on Saturday, but plans didn't work out that way. Will see Clayton Henry again, Bob Layton will be there again (think he'd sign any VEI book or a commission on blank VEI cover this time ?), and Gonzalo Mayo will be there.
Should be a good time at the new much larger venue.

I offered to work Saturday originally, but after about 3 or so weeks when Atom got back to me I could only make Friday instead (and actually hadn't said if he had wanted me for Saturday either). He hasn't got back to me if he wants my help or not. Either way it will be a good time.

The Tampa Comicon would be four hours closer to you then. It's a pretty big con.

I'd love to go seeing that vei is going to be there, but there's no way this year, I think.

I'll be on a limited budget - but i'm hoping to pick up some more original pages from Clayton and hopefully get a lot of stuff signed from the VEI peeps.

Looking forward to the Valiant Panel - hopefully they will have something new to unveil. A new ongoing series? Return of Eternal Warrior?

Had great time at the con yesterday, much better at the new convention center location ! I got to talk with Dino, Clayton Henry, and Jeff Dekal - and got sigs on A&A 14 con Variant (Dino and Clayton) and sketch(by Jeff) CGC'd. Got a gold Q&W for wearing my Harbinger shirt and my Valiant fans convention messenger bag. I also got a VH1 Timewalker #1 CGC'd signed by Gonzalo Mayo. Can't wait to see how they look when I get them back. Bob Layton was there too, but ran out of money to get sketch from him. Dino is such nice guy ! And can you believe I took no pictures, duh! Great day all in all

I was at the panel today.

They went over the usual valiant first stuff ... Atom did mention that there will be an X-O ominibus of the original run of X-O! I think that was something that hasn't been revealed yet that was pretty cool.

I've spoke to Dinesh and Atom a couple of times ... Really great guys and a joy to talk to... Dinesh did mention some stuff that is pretty freakin' awesome(!!!) but I'm sure there will be a big announcement soon and I don't want to spoil that moment.

Anyway ... I plan on spending some more time at the con tomorrow. I took some pictures and I'll post them probably tomorrow night with a more full report.

Yeah Dinesh mentioned some cool things, and some just useful con talk, but I too will not steal any of his thunder and let him tell it when he's ready !

so I made the panel today, it was totally unplanned. my husband and I flew out to Jacksonville, FL to visit a friend and we were all going to Miami together for the Independence Day weekend. on the drive down I checked facebook and discovered that Valiant would be there this weekend too. unfortunately, I wasn't packed for a convention and we had to stay later than originally planned just to go to the panel, we drove all the way back to Jacksonville right after.

anyway, Atom! mentioned a complete VH1 X-O omnibus (and got scolded by Dinesh for announcing it).
nobody will talk about Cary Nord's mystery project, but Dino showed me some colored pages on his phone (it's going to look awesome!).
some kind of movie news is coming next week, along with a major new book announcement (Cary Nord's? it's all getting confused at this point).
in passing, they mentioned a Livewire mini-series.

that's all I can remember, sorry, my buddy took pics of the convention but I don't have them yet.

Out of all the various stories we hear from fellow VFans at all the different ComicCons, I find it amusing to think about Dino scolding Atom! about leaking info, while Atom! scolds Dino for selling books at a steep discount. Meanwhile, Dino probably leaks more teases & info than anyone else, and Atom! is the resident retail expert. They're like an old married couple sometimes
