What superhero film have you ever enjoyed the most?
Hello. Of all the superhero flicks that have ever come out over the years, which of those films have you guys and girls enjoyed the most? To me, the first 'Blade' film never gets old, no matter how many times I've watched it. I never get tired of Wesley Snipes (as Blade) putting a hurt on vampires. In my dreams, I see Blade killing all of the vampire characters from the 'Twilight' films.

I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but I really like that movie. It's hilarious. "How many toggle flips, in toto?"greg wrote:Mystery Men
For me, my favorite superhero film would have to be The Dark Knight - I could watch that movie over and over and over.

A close runner up to 'Blade' for me would be the first Tim Burton-directed 1989 'Batman' film. Oh, the nostalgia! I remember being a kid and seeing that, 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids', and 'Who framed Roger Rabbit?' in the same week.lorddunlow wrote:I'm not sure if you're joking or not, but I really like that movie. I was half-joking because it's a parody of superhero movies, but it IS the movie with a 'superhero' theme that I've seen the most times.

I'll have to agree with Chiclo on 300, though 1989 Batman would be a close second, followed by Sin City.
I also really enjoyed Scott Pilgrim vs. The World...never read the books, though.
Oh, and Superman 2!

The Dark Knight, hands down. Iron Man would be second followed by The Incredible Hulk in third.
If you have Netflix, I recommend watching Black Lightning and Griff the Invisible. They may not be about mainstream superheroes but they're two of my favorite movies.

Re: What superhero film have you ever enjoyed the most?
The first Sam Raimi Spider-Man film. That was like a religious experience for me. Sure, there have been better super-hero movies since then, but nothing has matched the feeling of childhood joy I had watching that film on opening day.
And I'm sorry, but the Tim Burton Batman movie just has not held up very well over time... I tried to watch it recently and felt like I was being punished for liking comics. I'd rather watch the 1990 Captain America movie.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I saw a late 70s Dr. Strange movie that was surprisingly not bad. Featured a younger Jessica Walters.

Probably Avengers for me. Seeing characters develop in their own franchises and then all coming together in one film was a dream come true.
Black Science. Lazarus. Birthright. Saga. Manifest Destiny. Deadly Class.

Mystery Men was pretty fantastic. X2, Avengers, Batman Begins and Iron Man round out my top 5.greg wrote:Mystery Men

The Dark Knight
Batman Begins, Avengers, Man of Steel, Richard Donner Superman in that order.
I had to put Dark Knight up on it's own line to differentiate how much better than all the others it is. The other movies may be great superhero films, but Dark Knight is one of the best movies I have ever seen.

The Transformers: The Movie (1986) I can litterally quote every single line spoken in that movie, and while it's far from great movie it's still a lot of fun to watch.

Big ol' +1 to that!
I also love that movie. I was a big Transformer's freak in the 80s.Cyberstrike wrote:The Transformers: The Movie (1986) I can litterally quote every single line spoken in that movie, and while it's far from great movie it's still a lot of fun to watch.
I do think we may need to have an intervention with you, Cyberstrike. You may have slight Transformers problem

Oh man, I watched that movie a few years back and I couldn't believe I ever liked that. I watched that movie a TON when I was a kid and was sooo excited when it came out on DVD. I let a buddy borrow it and never bothered to get it back from him.Cyberstrike wrote:The Transformers: The Movie (1986) I can litterally quote every single line spoken in that movie, and while it's far from great movie it's still a lot of fun to watch.
GI Joe the movie held up slightly better, but only slightly.
