Recommendations for delving into old Valiant stuff
I have been thoroughly enjoying the relaunched titles and it gave me inspiration to explore the original titles. I've recently been obsessively collecting old Valiant stuff. I now have the whole Pre-Unity collection and most of the stuff afterwards. I have no idea where the best place to start is. Should I just pick a random title (like Solar, Magnus, etc.) and start at #1? Or, can someone give me a recommendation on the best way to delve into this universe and actually understand what's going on? Thanks a bunch!

It's fun to read them in published order (there is a list on this site), at least up to Unity. It makes the most sense that way for me.

Yeah, that's pretty sound advice. You'll figure it out with relative ease. Start with the Solar #0 story and then everything up to Unity. After Unity things might jump around a bit... like the gap between Rai#8 and Rai and the Future Force #9, but if you're meant to read a different book to continue a storyline the end of one will usually put you on the right track. The monthly blurbs in the back come in handy, too.
I think Rai #0 is something you can/should read after Unity. SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG?

X-O #14 & 15 were my favourite X-O issues of VH1, Bart Sears art, Turok appears + dinosaurs in the sewers...what's not to like!

+1 It's best when read in published order, the continuity is better.lorddunlow wrote:It's fun to read them in published order (there is a list on this site), at least up to Unity. It makes the most sense that way for me.

Thanks for the link! I've actually been thinking about doing a blog of my own, and it's stuff like your great site that gets my brain going. This past year I have spent countless hours (and dollars! $$) plunging myself into my comic passion and I'm discovering that I'm having just as much fun with the community as I am with the comics.kevinbastos wrote:Jason - I have been reviewing all VH1 issues - on my silly website.
