New X-O TPB UK release?
Hi Guys across the top I see the X-O trade is due out this week and it's something I want to get my bro for crimbo, but the only date I've seen is 19/12 over here. Can anyone confirm if the trade release date above is only for US or the one I saw was wrong? A quick online search hasn't really helped.

I've ordered mine from Forbidden Planet and it did say release date 5th December but now i've checked again it no longer specified...so you could be right about the change of date!

'Christmas'! Although I think that word is banned in America now isn't it? Replaced with 'Happy generic, non denominational holidays!' (just kidding )

I would say that the word "Christmas" is only banned when working but it seems that people get offended at the gun counter if you do not wish them a Merry Christmas.Dallow Spicer1 wrote:Blood of Heroes wrote:What the *SQUEE* is 'crimbo' ?

I could easily go 5 years in the UK without anyone using the phrase 'communist', but I genuinely do like the diversity of people on this forum, makes things more interesting!
Just as a point of clarity though, my original comment wasn't poking fun at Americans per se, more at the political correctness which we all allow to dictate aspects of our lives. The UK is going down the same pc route...it's all very George Orwell 1984ish!

Re: New X-O TPB UK release?
Ian ~ maybe forbidden planet is printing its own via titian? publishing?
They do that occassionally with stuff from DC.
I suppose if they cracked a deal with valiant ~ saves on shipping and forbidden planet usually sell titian £2 cheaper than the USA version.
If you ask forbidden plant ~ they will not know. Store managers get what they are shipped.
Just a thought.

I like to say Crimbo with a rolled 'r', an extended 'o' and a deep voice like the Mortal Kombat announcer. You know, like he's a guy. A big, cliche muscley guy with a metal mask and claws. The kind of guy that comes around in a few years when VEI runs out of good ideas.

Well when we get a Titan variant over here, and you want one. At least you know who not to pm to get you one
As for crimbo, sounds like Australian slang for Christmas. never heard it said in the uk, but Ianhouse is welsh - so it is probably some inbreed code for brussel sprouts as presents
