It's not a surprise that he is coming back, but it is a surprise that he is coming back so soon. Normally it takes about two years for a character to come back from the grave.

I personally don't care if he is coming back. I like the way FF is going without him.
Pull List: I only buy TPB's, HC's and Hellboy comics

Marvel should just kill SOMEone. For good. Forever. Finito.

Heck, even Thunderbird - who was created JUST for the killin' - has come back - in addition to flashback stories and younger brother.

PLEASE, Marvel.

Kill SOMEBODY!

It is a good thing that I do not like the Fantastic Four at all...I didnt even read the death issue.

I wonder if all the dudes that the Punisher kills come back to life as well ? Wow, that would be a lot of...

"Hey hooker, I'm home. Where's my money?"

"Ray Ray, I thought yous was dead an all?"

(SMACK) via Pimp Hand

"THAT is what you get for thinkin' b!tch !"

"OWW, that hurt RAY RAY !! I've missed you so much baby."

(sounds of knees on the floor)

"Now DATS whatI'mtalkinbout!!"

If this is the most major example - maybe they need to check the drawing board.

Most fans assumed issue 600 would be a storyline about the Human Torch's return before he even died. The first link you showed is a variant showing the classic team in classic costumes, which if it's anything like the other 40 variant covers marvel does a month has nothing to the with the interior (there's also a variant of Spidey and the FF in their classic costumes by Romita, Jr shown in link two). The first cover in the second link has the current team (Reed, Sue, Ben and Spidey with no Johnny) in their current costumes and IS the regular cover to 600 (the regular cover usually does have something to with the stories/characters in the actual issue). That being said, I'd still say I'd be shocked if 600 didn't deal with the Torch. Regardless, Fantastic Four by Hickman has been an amazing epic that will go down as one of the definitve runs on that title and I'm looking forward to getting a 104 page helping of it in November. :thumb:

The solicition for the issue btw...

FANTASTIC FOUR #600

"FOREVER" Part One
THIS IS IT! The 50th anniversary issue of the Fantastic Four! This month we begin the 5-part conclusion to the story that began over 30 issues ago. Do they need another one? They recently had a Thunderstrike miniseries by Tom Defalco in which the hammer is passed on to his son...

Eric's son plays big in the Homefront series of Fear Itself. Who is to say Dad doesn't show up? And besides did Marvel really need Ben Riley - Red Hulk - Red She-Hulk - Son of Hulk - Young Tony Stark - Madelyne Pryor - or any of the many incarnations of the same character before from Marvel (Or even DC for that matter) - No, but we got them anyway.

If we did not need them....

Kill...

Them...

All...

You could put them all in one issue... call it "Death Itself". Easy :?

Final Blackest Day Crisis of Civil Secret War M During The Infinite Ultimate Fear X-Flashpoint - would be the crossover to bring them all back.

I will very, very shocked if this isn't a death solely contained within a crossover where the character is alive by the time it's over or just aftewards (like Wonder Woman in War of the Gods, Flash in Zero Hour, etc). If he doesn't come back in Fear Itself 7.1 (the Captain America epilog) I'll be very, very shocked (Steve probably pulls a favor from Odin or something). There's a million little indications in solicitations, interviews and Captian America series that he should be back to the life by then for the big plotline they set up at the end of Gulag. :thumb:
