The quickest way to tell the difference by small online photos is:
The C2E2 Variant has the "Doctor Solar / Magnus" title in white letters directly on the art in the middle of the cover.
The FCBD version (common) has the "Doctor Solar / Magnus" title in black letters on a solid white bar across the middle of the cover.
