some older stuff my dad sent me

Post by toddyboy »

so my dad is moving to mexico, and he started sending me boxes of comics. here is a sampling of some of the older ones i pulled out that are in really good condition. lots of independents, and some older marvel and dc. not sure what to look for, but i figured i'll post some pics as the boxes come in and perhaps you all could give me some guidance to help me keep my eyes open for a diamond in the haystack.

ok so the deadpools aren't that old, but i know there is some fascination surrounding them and these might be worth something.

Some cool stuff. Nice to see.

I like the two Doc Savages that have almost the same cover.

You've got some nice books there. If that Dr Strange #1 is in good shape... might be worth hanging onto.

Some of those look to be in really really good condition for being that old. You may have some high grade stuff there

From the pics, it does look that way. :thumb:

If you questions on price, I can look up a few, but I'm pretty sure the Defenders and the Spec Spidey are the most valuable / moveable books there. If you have a Defenders 10, that's a good one too.

That Doc Savage and Shadow stuff is worthless. Really, who wants comics about characters from the 30s? Better send them to me so that I can dispose of them properly. :P

You know, with the condition and the age of the books you already posted, I'm really wondering what else you have in there?

Well those are the best ones out of this lot but there is lots more stuff on its way. Don't wet yourselves but rumor has it that there is even an x men #1 in a safe deposit box with my name on it. #1 of what year remains to be seen, but it IS in a vault... :hm:

I hope it’s the right X-Men #1 and the name isn’t written in anything permanent. :D
