What did you pay for Magnus #0?

Post by Jersen »

I just got my copy of Magnus #0 in yesterday from a lot I purchased on eBay. I've had my eye on this particular comic for awhile, but it's hard to find a copy with a reasonable price on it. I've let it slip away from me a couple of times, mainly from getting outbid on an auction while I was working, haha!

Anyway, the lot I purchased was $35 (including shipping) for Magnus #s 0,3,4, and 5. Not the best price, but definitely not the worst I've seen. The thing about it is that I already had all the other issues (and some of them I already have twice!), so I basically paid $35 for #0, which is the most I've ever paid for a comic book.

Anyway, what kind of steals have some of you managed to find on this little gem, or some other rarities, like Harbinger #0?

I've never paid alot on any comics... I'm too cheap. I think the most I've ever spent on a single comic is about £5-10. Eventually everything goes cheap imo (within reason).

You should have tried to buy a Magnus #0 from someone here on the boards. I know I would been able to sell you one for much less than $35.

If I remember, I found one in the wild for a good price.

I have gotten some great deals over the years. Shadowman Glow for $4, an Acclaim Valiant Heroes for $4. There are a bunch others.

I did also get a CEAR for .50.

But it has been a long while since I have gotten any Valiant deals. Maybe I am due.

But I agree with Bro J, the best deals on Valiant books are on the boards.

There's only two book I've paid more than ~$20 for, and those are my Harby pink and my CEAR.

I think 5 bucks is the lowest I was able to snag a Mag #0 and that's been a quite a few years back.

I bought my only copy from Elveen here on the boards. It is the non-card version. I don't recall how much I paid...do you remember how much you sold it to me, 'veen? I'm guessing $30?

I paid $6.50 for my Bloodshot #1. After that I never paid even $5 for a book after that-including golds and vvss (which is why I'm missing a few)

Pulled the non-card version out of a $1 box a few weeks back. Been a lucky Valiant year so far - got the Predator Magnus TPB for $1 and the Eternal Warrior 27 VVSS for .50 last week. :thumb:
