I gotta tell ya about Draco...

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

I gotta tell ya about Draco...

Well I've been 'storing' some books for him. Some Ebay sellers do not ship to outside the US, so they just get sent here, nice and safe and well kept. Well one day, package comes in, I check it for quality and I notice that it is a book that I need and then finally one day, I just couldnt take it any longer (cause it is a beautiful book ya know ?)... so I offer whatever it took to get the book an ya know what ?

Within minutes, the Drac writes back with a 'you can just have it'.

Now man, THAT is just really cool and TOTALLY in the spirit of the Dead Universes... comic karma, the giving, no questions just a desire to help others fill out their collections.

As it ended up, I had the book the book all along, which makes me chuckle a bit but in the back of my mind, I still think on that totally unselfish act of Draco and it just makes me smile... because we have this small part of the board (upstairs, as I have heard it refered to on many an occassion) and 'we do right by each other'. And this is good.

Thanks Draco... one day we'll get together and it'll be party time (well 'party time' as long as my wife lets me stay out... hehehe, no it's not really like that but it sounded funny... right ? It sounded funny, right ? )

Many thanks for the kind words dude.

I should have done so much more and owe big thanks to some cool dudes on here.

people who have stored/are storing and who have grabbed stuff for me off ebay at short notice to help me out and so on.

This time last year i was so excited about being part of the boards and the cool people.
Not just the knowledge shared but also the giving.

I have seen so many people offer bits out just because they could and i love that vibe.
Its something i have been doing since i was 5 years old with no one this side of the pond to share the experience with in full force like this, although working and being buddies with Drift is something pretty damn special to be part of over the last couple of years so it just keeps getting better.

I did get way carried away as is usual when something this damn cool and addictive comes your way and people make you feel so welcome.

Since that time last year Drift and myself have been putting an incredible effort into my business, this has kept me in limbo for spare time to do this thing i love the most in the DU section.

I have plenty to give back (even with the postage charges) and plenty of people to square up with.

As we are now officially moving forward ill try to spread the love some more in the coming months.

cheers for having me.

Oh and Chris its more funny than you realise dude, as i only stay out late when my wife lets me.
