I like this line of thinking. Though I'm totally down with dropping DF editions off the list too, but I do get the impression DF works directly with the publishers and creators for the books they offer. Dynamic Forces always reminded me of Graphitti Designs in that way.leonmallett wrote:Even though I said I wasn't arguing either way, I would suggest that unless sanctioned by the original publisher they aren't worthy of inclusion, and agree signed books probably shouldn't be on the list. But that is just one opinion.
Though mostly dealing with collected editions, and possiblynot a lot of DU stuff, do we count the Graphitti Designs editions?

I thought Graphitti Designs was defunct but I was wrong:Knightt wrote:Never heard of it/them... do you have any examples or pics of these items ?turborip wrote:do we count the Graphitti Designs editions?

Click on books to see some of the limited HC's and TPB's they offer. You'll notice several licensed products from DC, Oni Press, and more.
They have always been big on T-Shirts also.
They had made some nice hardcovers in the past. I lusted after a Watchmen HC for years that went for high dollar in the aftermarket. After the Absolute Edition came out, reprinting the same material licnesed to the Graphitti edition, I no longer worried about it.
This is kind of a moot discussion, since I'm unaware of any Graphitti Designs work related to Dead Universes, which actually surprises me. I can't imagine at some point they didn't license something (books or T-shirts) related to Marvel 2099, Valiant, or Malibu.
I'll dig some more and see what I can find.

Dude, you're killing me, just killing me. do you think it's safe to assume that Spider-Man 2099 #41-45 also have newsstand price variants as well?hulk181man wrote:Want a new 2099 challenge? I noticed my Spider-man 40 & 46 and X-Men 33 & 34 are $1.50 (newsstand?) price variants.
A new challenge for those with complete collections
MAN, it is hard to sometimes draw the line... I even have some books that the newsstand barcode is in black and others where the barcode is BLUE. Do was mark THAT as a variant as well ?
But I am thinking that is a distinctive change, just like when we had the Visitor VS The Valiant Universe price variants.
We can add them as we find them and have eyes on.
