Re: Fallout 3
A buddy of mine gave a glowing review of it, also. I chose to go with Fable 2 and then GoW2 in a couple of weeks.*SQUEE* wrote:Anyone playing this yet? I bought it yesterday and played it for 11 hours strait... I LOVE this game so far.

Same here but I dropped everything to start Fallout 3. I like the 3rd person perspective but I think I will stick to 1st person on this. Otherwise, NOT ONE complaint. Good thing for save games, on my first try I blew the Overseers head completely apart. Things..... didnt go well.dbostejano wrote:picked mine up yesterday. Not played yet, still messing with Dead Space and Fable 2.
So I ended up espcaping The Vault and that first view... just like Oblivion (OK, so what do I do now ?). So I hunkered down in a bus for the night... don't you heal when you 'wait' outside or do you actually have to sleep in a bed ? I just know that those damn RadRoaches (heebie jeebies shake) thumped me pretty good on the way out.
I went in early to work today, just so that I could go home early, so that I can start playing earlier. Staying up til 2 am and getting up at 6 am kinda sucks.
At the same time, I have on the shelf Dead Space, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows and Fable 2. Will get Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty: World at War, and Left 4 Dead. My wallet is literally bleeding right now. Good thing, I pre-paid for quite a few of these games.
DAMN, it is only 10 am... six hours to go.

I forgot to add that with the new V.A.T.S. targeting system, you can literally target just your enemy's head and it goes to a slo motion kind of in game cinematic where the head literally blows apart, eyeballs and everything.TKWill wrote:Crap!!!!!!
Am I gonna have to go out and get this damn thing.
Knightt's little description really made me want to go get this thing. Sleeping in a bus for the night? Red Roaches? This game will go back on my list.
It's beautiful, it really is...

The MP portion of this game is more of a gimmick than anything else. A friend and I did it for about twenty minuted the other night and then it just got boring.dbostejano wrote:ok just don't start flirting my character.Knightt wrote:Anytime someone wants to co-op on Fable 2, my gamer tag is Darque Knighttt (yes, three Ts) on Xbox live.![]()

I did see Chuck (Chuck Fang Foom) go running by in my game the other night, freaked me out because I had no idea what the orb was until I went looking through my instruction booklet.
It's true... and the updates come to you automatically. No need for drivers yadda yadda. I was a dedicated PC gamer for YEARS. I bought Spore recently.... have not played it at all. Waste of my money now.TKWill wrote:Buy a 360 for the same price as a top o' the line Video Card.schi0249 wrote:I want to, but my video card doesn't cut it.
But within a week, three new games for the 360 and one for the PS3 and more on the way.
Go figure.

As much as I would like a 360, it's not happening. At least not until after I graduate, find a full time job, make some money, and replenish my savings. So basically, no 360. Maybe I'll get an Xbox 3, or whatever they call it.TKWill wrote:Buy a 360 for the same price as a top o' the line Video Card.schi0249 wrote:I want to, but my video card doesn't cut it.

I played it last night for a bit... it may not be for me as I am now on the fence with this game. It was simple... I got bored. Ya keep getting sent on quests. I have enough people at work trying to tell me what to do, now I have some spank-nut on my 360 ordering me around as well.
I think I will turn evil... the idea of being a cannibal in the game is........ interesting.

I've been playing Fable 2 for about a week and a half straight it's a lot better than Fable 1/Fable: The Lost Chapters in many ways but it has some serious bugs in it. Namely a lot of the NPC's dialogue the timing is off (NPC's character's body animation will move before they speak or vice versa), and some of the cutscenes (like when I was going to Tattered Spire) like my Xbox 360 had a hard time loading it (I thought my 360 had locked up).
And a lot of the NPCs are very annoying (and not to mention stupid).
All of the jobs mini-games (Blacksmith, woodcutter, and bartender) are tedious as hell but at least the blacksmith at level 5 pays very well.
And trust me Knight you will want to get to level dextrous level 2 and I recommend buying or stealing a steel or master clockwork pistol or rifle as soon as you can so you can kill those annoying gargoyles.
It's a great game but those those bugs, glitches, and problems do hurt it.
