Post by J-Scott-R »

Hi, I remember reading a post about this book on here a few months back, could someone send me a link to it please. :hope: I have picked up several of these books lately and if the print run is so low why is it so easy to find so cheap? :? Thanks.

Scott

Yeah, but in the price guide the regular edition only has a listed print run of 3,400 copies, also making it extremely rare, but you can always seem to find 4 or 5 on Ebay for a relatively cheap price. I don't think I have ever seen the EB Variant listed.

Yeah, a lot of the Acclaim books are going unnoticed by people. Some Valiant fans just don't want to start collecting them and others don't know which ones are the rarer books yet.

I know what you mean, I've been one of those fans and I have just recently started picking up those books myself.

They are more rare than the Valiant books by far.

I remember this topic from the past. I don't think there is any way that the print run on Turok Evolution is that low. I've got a handful of copies and they seem to pop up quite a bit.

I am am not sure what the print run is, but they are on ebay with some frequency.

Over all, I think that Acclaim books are much harder to find. Even books that are not that valued in the price guide.

I wonder if more Turok Evo books seem to be out there because it was the most recently released book. I was not anywhere near comics when Acclaim ended, so I am just supposing.

But when (if) Valiant gets a re-birth and the back issue market really explodes (or at least significantly goes up), and people are after the complete Acclaim set...... wow..... the prices are going to skyrocket.

But then again, maybe it will not happen.

If I ever see one for sale I'll give it a shot, and then watch someone else pay a whole lot more money and get it. :)

I agree that the print run # is probably off. I've got around 50 copies myself. A friend who used to have a store in my town got them as filler in some toy boxes she ordered from Diamond. I got them all for a couple of dollars.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
