Pay-Pal claim question...

Post by BettyBoop2 »

Question for the board. I won an item on eBay August 1st, paid for it on August 5th. It has taken a ton of time to get the items and then they arrived incomplete.

So I thinking of filing a claim with Pay-Pal. The question is how much time to I have to do this? 30 days? 30 from purchase? 30 days from payment date?

Any help out there?

Have you talked to the seller yet about compensation or sending the rest of the books (or merchandise) to complete the sale?

I'd try that first.

Go right to paypal, skip the nonsense talking back and forth with the seller.

Through paypal, everything is documented from the start and they allow you to work it out on your own at the beginning. It's not a bad thing to have a claim opened up on you (so many people think it is), it's when the claim gets escalated and a summary judgment needs to be made.
