Have I not made a sticky for this universe ?

What made me think of it was, I just picked up this beautiful condition issue of 2099 Manifest Destiny and wondered if anyone else has either seen this or has one in their possession ?

I believe that this is the 'last issue' for 2099. Not sure on the print run but it's a pretty sweet book.

I do. I thought the 2099 universe was pretty good. I have the complete set of Spiderman, FF and Doom. Didn't much care for the X-Men series though, which is why I don't have a set of it.

This issue was published after 2099: World of Tomorrow #8 making it the last 2099 comic. However, if I recall correctly, there seemed to be some continuity glitches between this one-shot and the previous 2099 comics. Anyone else have that same feeling? I might have to go back and re-read this to find out why that memory sticks with me ... but, oh do I hate reading prestige format comics!

cringes at the sound of a spine potentially cracking.

Where are you getting your info from ?

I NEVER followed 2099 until I started up this section and SOMEONE got me stuck on it, I then read a few issues and said, "Oh, I have GOT to get me some of THIS !!!"

I am a sucker like that. :?

I followed the 2099 universe from its inception to the bitter end. It's been a long time since I read these books, though ... so, the info that I've got might be altered due to time's ravaging affects.

Thats cool, I'll stick to hard facts for something until I/we post it as 'cannon'. :thumb:

I'd never 'state' ("THIS IS the rarest Ultraverse book by far due to it's extremely low print run of five") something unless I could back it up cause how do you REALLY know ? We stumble upon new things in the DU section every year...

I've found that people who worked for the companies themselves (and are knowledgable) make GREAT factoid informants. When I was writing back and forth with Tom Mason (many of us have), he we really giving me some GREAT info on Mailbu and Ultraverse. THEN... he was heavily interviewed by someone doing a book about comic books and then said he 'couldnt say anymore'... something to do with the contents of what he had said in the book. Which I DIDNT understand as that is like saying, I cant talk about that because I was quoted in a book and now that information now belongs to the author.... or maybe he was tired of me asking questions !!!

Probably the latter...

This one can be hard to find without spine stresses in it. SO easy to wrinkle.

And a price range of $5-$7 is all I would go for one of these.

My favorite #1 issue is my Ravage 2099 signed by Stan Lee. My wife actually picked it up for me because I was dying to have something signed by Stan and I just happened to need that issue. :thumb:

He signed them right in the 'laser beam'... too cool for this guy !!

And STU ??? Thanks for the hookup on the X-Men #1 Gold !!! I think I am going to adopt you.
