deathmate boxes

Post by dave »

i bought one and decided after all the success i had with my valiant era cards (12 rares!!) i'd go ahead and open this box-
4 rares-only 3 unique.

plus the sorting was horrid-i've got about 9 cards number 5 and zero number 3...and it goes like that through the entire set...sheesh!

this was the worst set of the 3, IMO. the valiant era cards were just great.

anyone else have similar findings?

anyone else have better success?

anyone else like lasagna?

I bought two of these boxes once. Two rares in one, none in the other. Grrrr. Sorting was OK, though.

Allocation (I think thats the word) was really bad on most card products from the early 1990's. Comic Images was the worst. Sometimes even getting duplicate cards in the very same pack.

I opened an entire case of Valiant ERA cards. Some boxes would have as many as 15 inserts and other would have none.

allocation was the word that i was trying to remember last night...brain was too tired though!

the valiant era box i recently opened had nearly 2 sets in it-with only a card or three having say 4 or 5 dupes-this deathmate box had 3 identical cards back to back-in the first 2 packs! probably has 2/3 of the set...now i know why sonicdan can use a card as a thank you card!

Heh, yeah most people who order something from me will find
some Valiant cards thrown in for fun. Lately it's been Unity
promo cards as I found a big stack of 'em a few months ago. :)

With cases of the VE1 boxes readily available for pretty much the cost of shipping, the "rares" are anything but that.
