In the original promo art, Michonne was on her knees, arms bound, with one of her own swords at her throat.

The art remained the same, except for a different character being in her position.

Hey, Kirkman did say "No one is safe."

I hope not and I doubt it. She is an interesting character that Kirkman really hasn't gotten into yet. He could kill anyone besides Rick and Michonne and I'd be fine with that.

The end of the issue sets it up nicely for the Governor's men to turn on him.

Plus Kirkman would have shown Michonne being killed.

yeah gotta agree with you on Michonne.....i will believe she is dead when i see it!

with whoever is left, i do hope they hit the road after this arc. i feel that the prison has run its course with the storyline.

Yep, that was my first thought. I don't believe she's dead.

One thing I don't get is why Rick and the others haven't tried to communicate with the outside world? There HAS to be a radio or phone inside that prison, why not try to see if they can find help? Or see if there's an even bigger "safe" zone where they could live? Maybe there's a whole city like Manhattan that's completely barricaded off?

Is there something more sinister going on with MIchonne here?

IT shows in one panel her leaping towards the guys from the bush and i wondering how did they get the drop on her?

She was all like ninja on their *SQUEE* yet they come back with the big fella and say they killed her.

Anyone else think that was a bit out of sync.

i have been given lots of q's about this that made me think but couldnt settle on any particular one.

She talked to herself inside her cell but could have been talking to someone else.

Was she originally from the town.

Does she have a past with the govenor.

Did the guys she jumped know her.

Is she gonna double cross the prison group.

Doesnt tyreese have the sword being held under his chin on the cover of the next issue. Although we know the covers arent 100% portrayal of the interior.

Would they simply kill her that easily considering how it made no sense.

methinks not.

we shall see and it wont be long.

They have been banging those babies out real quick of late.

Damn fine comic book to be sure.

I would say no and no. When her, Rick and Glenn first went to that town, nobody recognized her.
As far as talking to herself in her cell, I think it's safe to say she's loony.

I have to agree with you but you havent answered the big question though.

Why did the paneling sequence of her jumping out of the bushes not make sense?

with what we know of her and what she is capable of, loony or not she wields that katana ( i think its a katana) like she knows how to use it properly and not by practice since the zombie plague.

The panel quite clearly shows her leaping and they are stunned like deer in headlights.

She would have cut them to ribbons so how do we explain her supposed death and subsequent capture of tyreese?

somethings fishy here and i dont just mean drift needing to zip himself up.

EEEEEEW !!!

Oh yay.

I cant bloody wait.

Just read the top part of the thread that mentions the change to the promo ad.

I kind of like that Kirkman might make changes so late.

Shows hes not so stuck in his ways and i like even more that no one is safe.

How could they be in such a f****d up world?

Yep, that's one of the reasons why I love this book. I also like how Kirkman keeps you on the edge of your seat with a cliffhanger at the end of every issue.

Could you imagine actually living in a world like that? Man, that would be horrible.
If I was in that situation, I would take my family and head for the wilderness of the great northwest or Alaska where there's nobody around for hundreds of miles.

I agree about the prison; they've been there way too long and need to get moving or something new needs to be introduced into the story.

Yeah, but the prison arc was always building up to this. I think whoever is left will be on the move again after it's over. I think I like it better too when they are roaming.

A much needed change agreed.

Some roaming with a few big characters lost and a few gained.

sounds cool

I can't tell if Kirkman wants to address this or not, but I'd really like to see some larger mythology form in the way of politics, restructuring, etc.
