Is it just me or is Marvel's new Annihilation: Conquest a mirror image of the Maleev War in Magnus?

nah, robots trying to take over the world has been done since the golden age. malev war and conquest just happen to be about that very subject.

. . . I think "Batteries Not Included" had the same plot line . . . I was not sober when I saw it so I could be a little off on that . . .

Batteries not included is one of the finest films of all time. It was much more good transformers than bad. The alien robots recognized kindness and compassion and rewarded it and helped beat up the bad guys.
