In XO 25 or any of the other books from that month the Gold Book was won by someone by the name of Steven Louie of Brooklyn by making Valiant Icons for the PC. Anyone have those at all on there computer?

How cool would it be to add those to the Emoticons we have here?

On the desktop, you right click and click Properties.

On the new window you select the Desktop tab.

There you click Customize Desktop

Here you can select the My PC, My Documents, Recycle Bin, and Network Places icons.

Just select the icon and click Change Icons, then browse to the folder with the icon file you want to use.

For all other icons, just right click on the, click properties, and then click Change Icon on the new window and repeat the browsing process.

Heh.

As you know, the recycle bin requieres two icons, one for full and one for empty.

The only icons that have doubles are Ninjak and Harada.

I use Ninjak because I like him, but I could change him with Harada, heh.

Oh, it's a *.zip file.

I'd looked at that before, but for some reason remember it being an *.exe file. I can use these on Linux!

ugh. those icons are soooo '93.

Someone should revamp them, preferably in sizes up to 512x512 so that they'd look good on this big monitor.

maybe i'll fire up photoshop and illustrator someday, if I ever get this thesis proposal done...
