I think that this is part of what draws me to the DUs as well. Nobody really paid or is paying attention to them, so there are literally 'diamonds in the rough' out there that WE end up finding, cataloging and putting into 'official checklists'. I have found a couple 'unknowns' as well as numerous board members... THAT is what makes it exciting.
GREAT work so far, men. I have been lax in my endeavor here but I have pressing matters in which I am sure many of you are aware of.
I will 'tidy up' a bit here soon.

I have to thank Draco.
I was doing some research to answer a question we've been discussing over e-mail and found this with 15 hours left on the BIN:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0037611462
I don't see these for sale often and I wiped all 4 out in one go. Broke down to $3.25 per each shipped. I've been somewhat keeping a lazy eye on these things for a while and figure that's fair enough.

Excellent stuff dude.
I just checked their site and found that they have two diff ones for gold.
One is just the gold foil cover and the other, although the pic isnt great is the holfoil.
We now need confirmation as to whether all the diamond golds are the holofoil versions of the gold premiums which may make more sense.
I have updated the checklist with the Vortex stuff but will hold on these till further info is available.
cheers
Ian

Notice how MileHigh cropped the spine of the comic in the photo ?Chiclo wrote:Draco found another one!

I think the Foil cover for Out of the Vortex ongoing # 1 series is only in the writing.
Im unsure if this is the only version available but have found several on ebay that may be standard non sliver title versions and am awaiting replies.
I cant find any copies Catalyst # 1 ongoing that dont have silver title writing.
Anyone care to elaborate on that?
cheers

Ok, i asked three people on ebay if the items they had for sale on Out of the Vortex # 1 were silver foil titles and all said yes.
These were ones i asked as the pics looked non metallic, so there must only be one version, unless like so many 90' books that had two versions, the standard actually had the lower print run making it potentially much scarcer.
As for the Catalyst ong # 1, I couldn't find a single copy that didn't have foil title writing so must assume there is only one version.
Again anyone who can say differently please throw your 2c my way.
We will get to the bottom of this real soon. Hopefully.
cheers

This is correct Ian. The week 4 cover of this is a total gold foil issue. I'll scan what I have hopefully within the next 48 hours.Draco wrote:I think the Foil cover for Out of the Vortex ongoing # 1 series is only in the writing.

Draco wrote:Ok i got that one.Draco wrote:HAHAHA !!!
ok it got the better of me and i submitted an offer.
Just gotta wait and see.
$15.00 is ok i guess.
Its only the plat that need adding as the standard edition is at the top of the list.
FFSAKE !!!!!
I just got this today in the post.
Sent from the US to the UK.....
...wait for it....
..... in a jiffy bag.
Cretins !!!!!
Also they were so rude and pushy about me making payment i was super *SQUEE*.
Ok so i put an offer in and didnt make payment for two days.
Why have a seven day rule if you want payment in two.
They said "you made an offer, we accepted it. How about paying"?
Then they spent enought time to look at my feedback and worked out i had left some the next day without contacting them to tell them what i was up to and got really pushy.
As always, i was my polite diplomatic self and simply explained that i always pay in the stipulated time frame and was merely waiting on some cleared funds.
Now this.
The comic wasnt ruined but seeing as no one else had knowledge of it i hoped to get a nice copy.
i guess itll have to do, but i will ask for say $5 back for being so slack.
I am working out how to get a big pic up, but can tell you its an Advance comics limited edition.
I was unsure as to what the possible print run was or what you had to do to get a copy but we will no doubt find out one day.
Peace out.
Ian

Early next month I could do just that.xodacia81 wrote:Excellent. Any scans coming soon?Chiclo wrote:I got my CGW Diamond Collectors Packs in.
So that's where the Diamond special premiums come from...
Also, each includes a couple of lithographs of the anchor character from that line and a sheet of bookmarks.
