Valiant Trading Cards

Post by aj583 »

Are any of the Valiant trading cards worth anything? Are any sets a must haves due to sheer coolness?

The reason I ask is that I know somebody with a box of old Valiant trading cards and posters. I was going to go over and check them out, but wanted to get some feedback from the boards first. Thanks guys.

Most of them aren't worth very much, but the Valiant era II cards have some oversized cards that are still being sought after.

unopened boxes of VALIANT Era II cards would be a good bet, they aren't as easily found as one might think. Stay away from Era I, though, they are massively overprinted.

I'd probably be interested in the posters. ~Pete

Man, you're not kidding either. You can still pick up box after box for under 5 bucks.

I would too... and Bro J is right, unless you really just want a set of Era I I'd stay away... Era II on the other hand.....

Cool. I'll check out what he's got this weekend. I'll of course snag any unopened boxes he has...of any era. I'll let those intersested on this string know what posters he has as well. Hopefully, he'll have some cool stuff.

BTW, I justed checked out Sonic Dan's site on Valiant cards. Pretty nice site.

I picked up three CASES for $10 about 3 years ago...

Opening box after box was fun, for about 30 minutes...

Well... I use them as bookmarks now... so, no.

I'd sell them to people, but they're worthless IMO... I think I just bought them becuase I thought they were cool.

I agree, they are very cool cards, but just grossly overrun.

Okay, I went over to my friends today. Random Era I cards, so nothing special there. However, I did get some Valiant posters from him. A few of them are pretty cool. Most of them are the types of ads/promos that comics shops would post in their store. None were ever used.

Are any of these trade bait? :hm: For those of you who were interested, see list below.

- Preview Poster w/ Rai and Future Force
- Magnus Trading Card Poster
- Ninjak Valiant Vision Poster
- Simple "Valiant" Verbiage Poster
- Spoof Poster - Defective Comics (has multiple Valiant Covers w/ titles like Rye...this one is pretty cool)
- 3 Wizard Valiant Posters

I would be interested in these. Tell me what you want from my for-sale list in the Buy-Sell forum.
