Re-Reading: Magnus Robot Fighter #10
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Leeja's transformation gets completed. Early in this issue she's stronger, but still an echo of what Tekla used to say, later on she marks her independence against her father, just as Magnus did.
The interaction between Dr Pincus and Xyrkol illustrates the psycho-probe procedure perfectly, and Magnus reactions after the Synchron attack are likewise perfect.
The rest is slightly more "old-fashioned". A good solid adventure story which obviously will culminate next issue.

So many little joys here:
Magnus climbing down 200+ stories with his bare hands.
The extremely powerful scene were Mimsy warns Magnus about Xyrkol.
The absolute bad a$$ presence Xyrkol has the second he's deprobed (I love his reaction to the guards)
Xyrkol becoming North Am's savior and then playing them like a fiddle.
Leeja being teamed up with a perverted robot.
The list goes on and on...
Just incredible stuff.
A 9.

Seaborn's synopsis:
As Doctors Pincus and Beale prepare to psycho-probe Magnus, hyper-missiles from Synchron destroy the Great Lakes Power Complex in a retaliatory strike. Magnus escapes to the Goph Levs as North Am loses all power. A desperate President Clane accepts assistance from Xyrkol in the form of an alternate power source. He then has Xyrkol de-probed so that he might devise a weapon to destroy Synchron.
Xyrkol, freed of his mental conditioning, subdues Magnus and prepares to conquer all of North Am.
