The best part is that I will be going back in 2 weeks for more stuff. He said he has a storage garage filled with more comics. He said he knows he has more Valiants and other limited editions as he was big into them at the time. He mentioned that he has "one of those limited Unity TPB's".

Must be nice! I've been looking for an AFFORDABLE one of them (well, 2) for years! :!: They always go well beyond my meager price range...

Hopefully it is one of the ones we are thinking of and not just the issue #1 of 4 with the slipcase cover. :hope:

Thing is though, I have a set and had one extra on Vol 2 but had sold it a while back. If it is Vol 1 it would have been nice to have 2 sets. It will be for sale though when I get it.

Ok..results from WWLA...

Best deal of the show, in my opinion:

NM Tick #2 1st, $1

Yay!

Also Fathom #8 Blue Foil (ltd to 400) $10 each, 2.

That's a damn STEAL.

7 copies of Spidey #317, $2 ea.

2 of #315, $2.

Howard the Duck #32 and #33, $1 each! AND another copy of #33 for 50 cents (understand, dear reader, that #33's are almost non-existant...these are the first...and only...copies I have EVER OWNED.)

Longshot #1, 2 copies, $1 each!

Fathom #3 Monster 10 copies, $1 ea

Fathom #10 DF Perfect 10 10 copies, $1 ea

Witchblade/Wolverine Devil's Reign, Turner variant, $1 ea. 15 (super tough to get cheap)

a SLEW of foil variants, $1 ea.

Powers #5-#33 $1 ea.

Amazing Spiderman #17 VF- (yes, VERY FINE MINUS) $100

FF #49 VF-, $45

Spidey #26, F/VF $50

I'll come up with more as I file. 7 long boxes.

Ugh.

Of course! My copy is nice, but I can't remember if it's that nice. That seems to be an issue that is still around in high grade.

I'm guessing somebody's been crossing their fingers hoping that this thread succesfully makes it to 100 pages. Mostly because hobo hasn't been adequatly doing the job he's being paid to do. Here comes the mean kid to knowked down your blocks. hee hee... boobies.

to all you classic topic derailers:
I've inserted insults, misspellings, rude remarks, and have mentioned a sensuous part of the body... commence the deralation.

How do you not get intentional topic derailment?

It has to be a collective effort.

If I do it all by myself, I'm just a jerk.

Even I wouldn't like me, if I was that much of a jerk.

In my opinion, topic derailment is meaningless unless it naturally flows out of the topic you're derailing away from.

See, I could have said something like:

"Dino, what are you going to do with all those post Unity Magnus issues, start a bonfire?"

But see, it didn't really flow right off the cuff, it was assuming Dino was in an area where he could even START a bonfire, not good.

I don't know, maybe someone else can do a better job of derailing this "Orange Blossom Special" (sorry about this reference, I'm listening to Johnny Cash right now!) :thumb:
