No one's playing GTA IV? Me neither yet, but still surprising (unless you're all playing so much you can't post about it). I'm playing Beyond Good and Evil, Crackdown, No More Heroes (okay, haven't started yet, but will tonight or tomorrow), and Phoenix Wright 3.

Yeah, I think my son (8 years old) enjoys playing Super Mario Bros. and other old NES games on the emulator I installed on the Xbox as much as the Xbox games!

Mostly PSU: Ambition of the Illuminus lately, online on the PS2/PC servers.

I just got Persona 3 FES and Arcana Hearts, so I'm really excited to dig into those.

Yeah, I just started to really play GTA4 today and it's pretty good. I didn't like it when I first got it, but now that I'm a little ways into the game it's getting pretty good. Way better than the predecessors.

I have heard this a lot... that the games gets better once you hit the 8 or 9 hour window.

I am confused though... the PS3 box lists the video going up to 1080p and yet my HDTV only 'reads' it as 720p while on other games (take 'The Darkness' for instance) it comes through in glorious 1080p with no problem.

What gives ?

Well, I would ask if you're using HDMI, but if you're getting it in other games, I guess it wouldn't matter. I've only got 1080i over here. I bought my TV right before 1080p came out (missed it by about a month).

The PS3 version of the game is reported to be actually only 640P which would show up as 720p on your tv

The 360 version is actually 720p

I cant hit gaming links from work, here is a blurb about it:

http://www.thinkdif.com/the-news/gaming ... even-720p/

If you do a google search PS3 GTAIV 720p a bunch of stuff comes up

GTA IV is in the books ... what a great *SQUEE* game! I think I'll fool around with some the multiplayer stuff, but that is pretty much all I've played for the last couple of weeks.

It took 22 hours on the game clock to finish, not counting a lot of goofing off and restarts that I didn't save. Probably 35 hours in all.

Right now, I'm playing PSU still (Maximum Attack G, baby!) and dabbling in Assassin's Creed and Soul Nomad.

I'm liking Assassin's Creed alright, but I can't shake the feeling that it's a game that really seems to think highly of itself. Art shouldn't need to tell you it's art.
