It's true, I did say the only reason I put in the effort to do a VcVSS book was because I was doing mine to benefit the charity. What the hell is wrong with that? I was creating something that was in demand by Valiant fans and using it to benefit a good cause. I'm sorry you were so offended by that, you didn't have to buy it. The second quote you have there was said based on the potential of someone turning aound and selling their books and making a profit off something I didn't make a dime out of. Why should I feel all special for doing something JUST to benefit Valiant fans when half of those same fans have no problem turning around and selling those books and making a profit? I feel a lot better knowing the books went to benefit charity, so I really don't care what happens to them after this point...sell 'em, burn' em, whatever. The CF fund still has benefitted.DawgPhan wrote: I didnt like BroJ telling that he wouldnt have bothered doing his book if it wasnt for CFF. To quote "What kind of satisfaction should I get out of putting in all that work just to do something for the Valiant fans?" I thought that is what the projects were about.

Thanks.DawgPhan wrote:I dont have a problem with CFF...Never have never will. They do great work and they are great about spending the money donated on actual research and not administrative costs. I wouldnt support a nonprofit that I didnt like. I didnt like the things that happened because of CFF.
I didnt like the direction the vcvss books took.
I didnt like knight erasing all of the posts about the cff.
I didnt like knight telling VK he didnt make a donation, he bought art. (Yes I know there was an apology made for this, but it has only happened recently and I accept that.)
I didnt like that some folks seemed to be in this for the wrong reason.
I didnt like that Knight questioned my character when I changed the number of the CFF print that I was donating to charity.
I certianly didnt like Knight questioning my integrity in public about the number of a print.
I didnt like BroJ telling that he wouldnt have bothered doing his book if it wasnt for CFF. To quote "What kind of satisfaction should I get out of putting in all that work just to do something for the Valiant fans?" I thought that is what the projects were about.
I didnt like a lot of things that went along with CFF, but dont mistake that for me not liking CFF.

Thanks for the nice comments fellas. I will be totally honest here... before she was born I didnt think about fund raising at all. I would drop a few bucks in the Veteran's Association or girl scouts or something like that but as far as donating on a regular basis, the only thing I gave to monthly out of my check was the Special Forces Warrior Foundation (which provided college money to children of fallen SF Soldiers). Once we found out Alyssa had CF... well that TOTALLY changed things for me. I thought that I had some kind definition to my character and such... but having this happen. Well, it gives one a clearer focus on what is important in life. It suddenly makes you want to actively DO something. I sure am glad that there are people on this message board that support this charity as well as others. What WE have done as a Valiant Community is simply awesome. And with that... I will post the OTHER pic of this gal that cracks me up...
I don't know if she is trying to be Popeye or what ?
