Got mine in the mail today from Ed (thanks Ed!) and headed over to WW Chicago to have it signed by Neal...then going to a 45 minute sit down with Stan Lee and a few other guys after the show. Some key books getting signed by Stan too. Oh....and I think I'm officially broke. ;)

I'll just chime in to say that I have had a twitter account for a couple years that sat largely unused, save for the odd smart-*SQUEE* or semi-clever comment I felt like throwing out there. I've recently been inspired to start getting into it much more heavily because Valiant is on there - and that is only partially due to the incredible contests they are running ( I missed out on the A&A giveaway, man am I steamed about that!).

Its a really impressive network to get into, I'm having fun connecting wih some of the board members here and interacting with famous people is pretty thrilling when it happens. Of course, it can be a serious time waster too if you're not careful, but well worth it, especially if you have something to promote like MarkRose, Dr. Solar, BtE or myself ( a humble semi-pro freelance artist ). I recommend the experience of it to anyone.

As for the A&A 1:100... That's interesting what some here are saying about their LCS's not getting the book until they've received their 100th Valiant book ordered...

That gives me hope my shop did order it after all. The fellow I talked to at the counter looked it up and told me they had ordered 40 copies of A&A #1. I'm sure they've ordered 20 of the other three books because I usually ask for most of the 1:20's in my pullbox.

(as an aside, I think they ordered 40 copies of Bloodshot 1 because they had 2 1:20's including one for me, and I was happy to see only 2 regular copies left on the rack this week)

I didn't request the 1:100 because I'm still not sure I want to pay $100 (which is what the manager had told me he would charge for it a month or more ago)... But I could give in to impulse if I see it on the wall

Remember when I put out this post? The grumbling one?

I was taken care of, most certainly. Humble thanks to dino, Atom!, and all of VEI.

I will repay the debt to you. I do not forget.

Good to hear that. I have a grumble too, but haven't exactly posted details publicly yet. It has been o/s since may and june, but I just made Dinesh aware of it yesterday since VEI was brought into the equation by the the place I bought from. I'm hoping it gets resolved because it's bringing down my fervor and passion for the line and new comics in general.

I am glad you have been taken care Kevin. That is awesome of VEI to do.

I do have to say that I keep reading consistant issues about the variants, and I always think "where is the problem" (comes from my business and CPA background). Is it VEI, is it Diamond, is it a middle publisher, etc? Granted I have not been in the (current) variant game for a very long time, but there seems to be two consistant problems that warrants attention. One is getting variants to the stores on time (not late) and the other is condition of the variants.
Pull List: I only buy TPB's, HC's and Hellboy comics

From what I have been told by the LCS owner, the problem has two parts.

1. Diamond
2. The crappy UPS driver.

When his old driver came by, he actually hugged the guy, and asked when he would return. Sadly, the crappy driver has more seniority. His weekly abuse he gives her on his twitter feed is fun.

Had two different chances to buy it, I just couldnt pull the trigger at $100. If it was half that, most likely!
