Yeah, I've been combing the area and checked prolly 8 local comic shops and have seen a grand total of 1 variant cover (Harby 1:20).MarkRoseHFX wrote:I can't even find the 1:20's or 1:50's in my city. screw it i'll just stick with the reg and pullboxes

Just order your variants from mycomicshop.com or midtowncomics.com, problem solved.cjv wrote:Okay, I am excited about the new Valiant. I have ordered the XO issue, and the pull box variant. But as much as I want to get one, I can't justify spending $50 for a 1:20 variant or $75 for a 1:50 variant (or more!). Especially since I don't have a LCS and order online, it means I would then ALSO have 20 or 50 issues of the regular one.
Chris
I paid $18 for my X-O #1 1:20 variant (NM 9.4)

From the CBR article with an interview about XO Manowar 5.
One of the pictures is titled "Patrick Zircher's variant cover for "X-O Manowar" #5"
Looks like the variants will continue past the "summer of Valiant". It was my hope that the 1:20 variants would stop. Oh well. I am probably not going to worry about collecting them after the first issue now. It was one thing to do so when I thought it was limited. It is another thing to do so when it appears they will continue indefinitely.
