I haven't read more than the first few pages of #1, and all I can say is "meh" it's not great, but it's not awful either. It has an interesting concept but it's kind of slow. I will say that Scarlet is an AWESOME read however.

Scarlet was actually pretty good. I'm missing all of the later issues though : (

Scarlet is a creator-owned comic book series written by Brian Michael Bendis under Marvel Comics' Icon imprint. The title is illustrated and co-created by Alex Maleev.[1]

The series is about a young woman named Scarlet Rue from Portland who rebels against a corrupt society and ends up starting a new American revolution in the process. The series often breaks the fourth wall in that the protagonist talks to the reader of the comic.

Bendis and Maleev previously collaborated on Marvel's Daredevil, Spider-Woman and Halo: Uprising. Scarlet is published bi-monthly in part to accommodate the pair's work monthly output of Marvel's Moon Knight.

heh. Well, there are a lot of them!

It was an exhausting experience getting all of these out of the Convention Center, down the street, and into the parking garage where I was parked.

Do you have any Green Lantern Corps or Vertigo books, especially Y: The Last Man or 100 Bullets, for sale?

I picked the Saga #1 RRP up for a good price in Chicago. I really want to keep it but with the price on eBay so high, I am now debating selling it. I have never owned an RRP before so I have no idea how long the price holds on these.

You are one of the lucky ones as I tried to snag that one as well via someone else and did not. Congrats

One of the smaller dealers had it on their wall Saturday. It was covered up and you could only see a little of the spine. A guy asked him to see it or I never would have noticed it. The guy that looked at it said he would think on it and come back. I picked it up next and looked at. He wanted 50 bucks. I tried to talk him down and he wouldn't budge so I left. I really didn't know what it was worth. I went about 1 booth over decided I was only going to get this one chance, turned around, went back, and gave 50 bucks for it. I was rather broke from buying EW 27 VVSS off the boards a week before the con and almost didn't do it ( I wouldn't have even went if the wife hadn't bought me the plane ticket for my b-day). Now I am torn because it is a damn cool book but I could turn a nice profit on it for the time being. :hm:

If you need the cash more than you need the comic, flip it. It may not go down, but I think it will eventually. Most of these books do.
