Wow nice, those two books can easily add up over $1200 together in those grades. You should post up your FF collection here sometime.dhudson1 wrote:CGC, the 3 was 5.5 and the 5 was 3.5Escaflown4 wrote:Did you pick them up as raw copies or CGC'ed?dhudson1 wrote:Believe me, I understand, still tring to complete my Fantastic Four, just picked up 3 and 5, had to lie to my wife about how much they cost.Escaflown4 wrote:Sighs speaking of the bug, I remember when I decided to get back into comics back in '05, I said to myself that I will stop once I get all the pre-Unity books. After I have obtained that, I went for the rest of the Valiant titles. After that, the bug bit me hard and I decided to go for a full run of Uncanny X-Men since that had been my favorite title since I first collected comics in the early 90's. Once I completed that quest, I moved on to collecting major Bronze Age key issues. I figure I would just settle down with what I have, but the bug bit hard yet again and I took on the quest to get a full run of Amazing Spider-Man which I am only about 50 issues away from completing. Now I find myself also going after major Silver Age key issues. I really need to get rid of this bug.comicsyte95 wrote:Wait til you get the bug i spend 2-3 times that per month with no end in sight..JonesyAZ wrote:Well, once I have paid the last few amounts that I owe to people, I will have spent about $315 for all the books i've gotten thus farI guess that's not too bad, eh?
Don't tell her.
I totally understand about the wife situation as I also fall under the same category....

Just wait till you get to the later issues, they are even better (and not quite so dark).JonesyAZ wrote:Y'know, i've found that it changes all the timeStarBrand wrote:What's your favorite Valiant stuff so far, Jonesy?I LOVE Magnus (still not sure about the end of the run

As soon as you realize that Acclaim in NOT Valiant, there is for sure some good reads in there.

For sure...Quantum & Woody, Shadowman (especially 16-20 and v3), Bloodshot, Solar and some of the Turok stuff. XO wasn't BAD but it wasn't good. It just wasn't XO.Elveen wrote:iggy101us wrote:Great job, Elveen, trying to get him hooked on Acclaim.JonesyAZ wrote:Y'know, i've found that it changes all the timeStarBrand wrote:What's your favorite Valiant stuff so far, Jonesy?I LOVE Magnus (still not sure about the end of the run

I would add Eternal Warriors, and the Darque stuff. Alex Darque is not as good as Master Darque's fist 4 to 5 storylines, about as good as the next few and better than darque at the end of Valiant.
And VH2 Armorines is better than VH1, IMO.

Very interesting! I am thinking that once I complete my initial Valiant VH1 reading set, I might collect V.2 of Shadowman, but not too interested in the other books? Okay, I AM interested in Ellis' "Man of the Atom" special...lolElveen wrote:xodacia81 wrote:For sure...Quantum & Woody, Shadowman (especially 16-20 and v3), Bloodshot, Solar and some of the Turok stuff. And *Acclaim (1997 series)* Armorines is better than *VALIANT (1991-1996)*, IMO.
