Peter David's work on Aquaman was turning a character that who for the
most part lets face it was a bad joke for the most part of the charcater's existance into a legimate bad @$$ and he made the character far more intresting and better than Batman (yeah you read right). No writer since David left the book has even come close to re-capturing the character that David helped create.
