I just finished reading the Silver Surfer: Return of Thanos TPB and it was as good as I remember it. Great, actually.
I'm now reading Captain America: War and Remembrance, the brilliant run by Stern and Byrne. Again.

I finished Allstar Supes TPB #1.
I really liked it. I have not read many Supes books, so I was excited to read some stories.
I liked the style of the art, the writing was very good.
I also liked how each of the 6 stories could be read as independent tales, but there was also a running thread through each book.

I also just finished Green Arrow"Longbow hunters by Mike Grell.
Very different than anything I have ever read.
The story focused on the characters as much as the action/drama. Grell was able to get so much emotion into the writing and even more into the art.
You are able to get into the minds and thoughts of Green Arrow.
I would give it a solid A. A different kind of read, but very enjoyable.

I have to ask, what about AS Batman do you like? I'll give you the nice art by Jim Lee, but the writing is horrendous. Batman, Robin and the whole cast are horribly written out of character.Cyberstrike wrote:All-Star Superman=Crap on a stick.Lightning Strike wrote:All Star Superman=GREATsuperman-prime wrote:the all star line has been great across both titles now if it could come out on time ???
All Star Batman=garbage

I just read JLA/Planetary. It was ok, not great. I would have rather they focused on the Planetary characters, but it was interesting the slant they took on Planetary.
I am just very intrigued by the entire concept of Planetary.
SPOILERS.............
I wish they would have made the JLA the bad guys and Planetary the good guys.
END SPOILERS...............
But, a very interesting concept, I just don't think they made it happen.
I also got a few other books with the JLA/planetary lot, a JLA books called, American Dreams. Um..... it is ok so far, but ........ I am looking forward to starting something new. I also have a JLA/Cyberforce book, but I think I am going to wait. for that.
I'm not sure what is next?

Both characters seem interesting. I have also been "lightly" checking out prices on Y the last man TPBs, and Walking dead too.
What about Transmetropolitan?

But I still have Long Halloween and Squadron Supreme on the shelf. And I am trying to get a cheap Infinity Gauntlet and Dark Victory of ebay.
