That's the problem lots of people start stuff to high Odds are they won't sell because most people are not willing to start off that high. If it was a little lower and you get a few people interested It will sell and they might be so competitive that it goes closer the his buy it now price. But we will see what happensX-O HoboJoe wrote:Those are a bit high for the Gold Key stuff, but not too bad. More than I'd pay tho.

A desperate plea to sell $1.50 worth of books for $5 + $7 shipping so I can move someplace warmer auction. I think he's going to be waiting on Spring to get out of the cold.

The X-Men annuals are 'Near Mint condition and come bagged and boarded'
The Cap #241 is 'VF'.
By 'bagged and boarded', he meant 'all 7 books will come in two old Bell bags and two boards.
And by 'Near Mint' he means this:

See the book length crease near the spine? There's a buttload of creases you can't see, nature of the scan beast. Fun, huh? It's BAD. It's a VG/F, at best. Annual #8's the closest, and it's about a VF.
Here's the back cover of the 'VF' Cap #241:

Again...lots and lots of dings, creases, dents, etc that you can't really see, BUT...look at the dirtiness alone! Yowza! VF! It's a VG/F, again.
This was the seller's response:
"the comics are in mint condition. the comics in the photo are the ones you received. you can tell by the picture that they are in mint condition. maybe something happened to them during shipping? i know the cover of the cap was faded, that is why i said it was vf. the interior is still nice, and it only has minor wear. grading comics is subjective. five different people could grade the same book five different ways. i have had over 50 auctions on e-bay for well over 500 comic books, and you are the first person to question my grading. i am sorry you feel that way, but hopefully you are happier with this more in depth response."
I especially loved the 'you can tell they are in mint condition by the picture!'
Too funny.
It sucks that people like this can send out crap books fraudulently, and still leave me a negative when I neg them. Sigh.

Why would someone bother listing an auction like this?

Yeah, I discovered that trick about 5 years ago...then, eBay changed it so that so long as the auction page was still accessible, you could leave feedback.MagnusRF wrote:Do what I do, wait til the night before 90 days and hammer theZephyrWasHOT!! wrote: It sucks that people like this can send out crap books fraudulently, and still leave me a negative when I neg them. Now..they've changed it back. It's either precisely 90 days, or REAL close to it.
I really need to know the rule on this one. Someone ripped off my girl. She paid and never received the item. Even after emails said they would send, they never did, and now the seller has stopped responding to emails and questions. We have done submitted to ebay about not receiving the item, but nothing came of that. It did not cost much, so its really no big deal its just the point of paying for something and not getting it, so we want to leave a negative without getting one back. Is it 90 days as of midnight on the 90th day? Or is it 90 days as of the time it ended at? Im sure timing is everything on this trick and I want to get it right.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Yeah, I discovered that trick about 5 years ago...then, eBay changed it so that so long as the auction page was still accessible, you could leave feedback.MagnusRF wrote:Do what I do, wait til the night before 90 days and hammer theZephyrWasHOT!! wrote: It sucks that people like this can send out crap books fraudulently, and still leave me a negative when I neg them. Sorry, never done this trick, but we really want to do it. And dont want to mess up our 100% feedback rating doing so.
Thanks in advance
Just a tip about seller david-and-williams-dad and a feedback question:
Bought some books from him and the grading was TERRIBLE. Claimed books were NM, but they arrived with folded-over corners, severe spine creases, and curled covers. He did offer me a refund, but the books only cost $8.50 and it wouldn't be worth my hassle to find repacements. I first threatened a neg if he didn't offer an explanation, but have since decided to leave him a neutral feedback instead. Is this proper conduct or should I neg him anyway?

Movie hype. If you have these, sell them now and buy the trade.
