What, does he say "bone" instead of "bahn?"

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

is there a place here on the site where you guys discuss the material discussed on the podcast? or is all of that done on the onlythevaliant site?

because of course erica did not "create" the lost land either-she found it, a land outside of our time line, and then stays there building all that we see once the heroes arrive there...

not to get like "our good friend mike"...

somebody needs to make a unity book, by cutting up all the books, removing the duplications and arranging it chronologically.

of course, i volunteer your books.

A distinction that I myself made in the podcast. :thumb:

An idea suggested before and I believe somebody did a little work with it.

The best way would probably be to scan the issues and manipulate them in some program like the GIMP and export them into a .pdf.

no, you actually said that she created it, while you were correcting z on something else...i didn't think that you really meant that she created it-it just came out real fast as you were trying to make your point...

The "official" message board for the show is over on the comic forums. Bryan from Comic Geek Speak was nice enough to give the podcast a forum over on his comic discussion site. There's not a lot of traffic on the Valiant part of the forums, but I post there, and if others post there, I'll respond.

Also, of course, there is discussion in this thread.

There is a lot of good general comic talk on the Comic Geek Speak portion of the comic forums too. It is a cool online forum. I've met up in person with a lot of folks from that board.

I think that the story actually flows best as it was released. Upon re-reading it, and reading it title by title, rather than chapter by chapter, I came to the opinion that the release order is probably the best way to read it.

Oh, and I counter-volunteer your books ;)

i like your thought there chiclo on the two phils merging, while pierce killed her "other" self. never thought of that before.

wasn't there a third solar/phil though?

i remember discussing this a long long time ago, and i ended up getting confused by the end..i think that there was a pony tail guy, a guy in a red solar suit and then this timeline's phil...iirc

one of them being max blackwell?

Yes, there were 3 for a time. Call Phil from A&O phil1, and Phil from the Valiant timeline phil2.

Phil1 goes back in time after creating the black hole. "Doctor Solar" splits out of him, so there is phil1 and Doctor Solar. There is also Phil2 from the Valiant timeline, and all three eventually merge together. Since the phil1 and "Doctor Solar" were both parts of the same person, in a way there wasn't a third Solar. Two half Phils and a whole Phil.

But yes, you are right. I think we all just didn't bring that up to keep things less complicated.

it's a good thing, because my head hurts again just reading what you wrote!

you guys bring out alot of great stuff in here-i never thought about the rainbow towers and their connection with the wizard of oz....wow.

it just shows you how much thought went into these stories, even though they were "flying by the seat of their pants"!

Ok, here's how it breaks down:

In Solar 0 (Alpha and Omega), you have one Phil. Phil gets flung back in time or sent to a parallel universe (I prefer the former). Let's call him PhilAO.

In Solar 1, PhilAO shows up in the previous time or different dimension where there's already another Phil, let's call him Phil2. At some point (Solar 2?), PhilAO suffers from a headache and Gold Key's Doctor Solar Man of the Atom pops out of his head. So we've got PhilAO, Phil2 and Doctor Solar running around. PhilAO is the guy with the pony tail you mentioned and presumably Doctor Solar is the 3rd Phil you are referring to.

I'd like to think that if "sub" notation were possible on this board, then both Chiclo and I would have used it to denote whch "Phil" we were speaking of.

Why couldn't it be done digitally? That way, only scans would be used up, not the books themselves.

I volunteer your time to scan everything. :P
