DO you have readers?
Is it a cool read?

Am so into, UK weeklys at the moment it hurts. Also want to look at your new eagles!

Can we meet up over the school holidays? Will have the kids with me.

Would like to check out the chalk carving in the hill near your house, want to come? Could have a picknick.

If you want to come to cambridge ~ the freshmens start monday ~ so the school hoilidays it should be back to normal.

The Prime 2 is kinda cool, it actually has Prime 2, Mantra 2 and The Solution 2 in the one book.
I have the same issues... awesome stuff.

Dude, I've got 6 spares. I would love to send some your way but shipping is a killer.

Knightt, are you sending something their way soon? Maybe I could piggy back them on a box you sent?

That is a GREAT line to try and complete. I am having a tough time of it here but then again I have so many DUs to work on it just meshes with the rest. I found a place that has all their Virgin Comics for $1.00 a piece and a flat rate of $5.00 shipping but I got sidetracked while shopping with them. I sure don't find these books in the cheap bins around here though, they are retaining a moderate back issue price. I am pretty sure it is due to the quality of the issues both in art, story and manufacturing. I don't see a huge demand as they are not flying off the shelves but they have not been chunked into the cheap bins either... yet. Crossgen is out of the game.

Other than the Voodoo child premium i cannot find any in this country, well one but thats £6.00 and about £4.00 over my limit.
I guess at a push i would pay close to $5 US for one if they get silly to get in years time.
I have the more obscure ashcans etc and even got the UK overseized Dan Dare HC too.
There were so many last year Drift and myself were just falling over ourselves trying to get lists up to date, especially when one dude had them for 25p each and me no list GRRRRRRRRR !!!
So of course next show and since he hasnt bought them along, but i grabbed a fair chunk blind and only a few doubles which Drift inherited, along with about 5 short boxes of my DU multiples :o

If there for sale here they are 50p and thats it, though ebay is a tease as i see ones i need, but normally one per seller at 99p + £1.50 postage or £2.75 freepost, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo !!!!!

As much as I am wanting to finish these up there is no way I am wanting to pay decent cash for them. For whatever reason they are staying up there in value but I think with a little patience, those cheap sales will follow !!

I didn't know there were obscure ashcans and I surely didnt know about an oversized Dan Dare HC !!

A buck a piece. Dead Universes are freaking awesome.

Not sure if Superverse Comics/Zoom Suit counts as a DU, but just picked up 3 different covers of Zoom Suit #1 including the Bob Layton Variant cover for a crisp one dollar bill.

The LCS dude said "Why didnt you buy these when they came out....I would have made more money...."

I replied. "I'll sell them back to you when they make a movie out of it...!"

I wonder how many concepts we may see come back to life in different media in the future.....Some of these DU's have a lot of potential.

(Just dont tell anyone.....) :hm:

I think that the print run on all four books was 600,000. Out of that 600,000, I believe that 450,000 were the issue #1 variants.

I could be wrong here but I would say, no.

They did produce a cool motion comic on DVD though. A bit campy but I think it was ahead of it's time. John T had some cool stuff going on but the numerous variant covers, first 100 off the press editions, film fest editions etc etc etc etc etc etc was just too much for me. All four issues had variant covers. Exact numbers are unknown to me but it just railed against how I felt on variant covers at that time. I can understand one maybe two variants... PUSHING it with a REALLY rare third, but Zoom Suit went overboard in my opinion.

BUT I will say that issue #1 was the BEST quality comic book I have ever seen. Top notch...

You know that there was a valiantfans.com Zoom Suit edition and board project, right ?
