Totally forgot about that.jedimarley wrote:A$$hole even resorted to playing a trumpet over me when I tried to speak.
I re-read parts of the Eternal Warrior run too.
What I feel I got from it the most was being reminded about the Bagh Nakh, a knife that only MotA can say is not magical in nature. I brought him up to it in the chat and will start a thread when he's unbanned.

The only thing is that the "guest star" seems to play fifthe fiddle. I love the show but you really don't hear much from the guests when they are on the shows. When listening to the Eternal brothers show I thought that Jedi may have left at a couple points just because I hadn't heard from him. I must reiterate that I really do love to listen to the OTV podcasts but sometimes I think that maybe there might be too much color commentary.slym2none wrote:Maybe the occasional "guest star" would be OK, but you might have to put a muzzle on some people.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

That is the simplest explanation, and also the implied explanation.

Maybe one of those dog shock collars would work better. Every time he mentions the goat or Valiant-lite, he gets a shock.myron wrote:for awhile at leastBloodOfHeroes wrote:That's because longer bans have successfully modified his behavior in the past.Brother J wrote:I see it's still in effect. I didn't know the bans lasted a whole month. I guess repeated "violators" get longer suspensions.

The only guest appearance I really had a problem with was MotA. It's more of a technical issue, but his mic made him sound really muffled and very hard to understand. Which was a shame because listening to him and Zeph go at it is a trip!TKWill wrote:

I haven't heard the new one yet, I'll probably listen to it tonight, but I think that most of the guest appearances have been handled pretty well. Most of the time when they don't talk, it seems like they just have nothing to say more than they're being walked over. I guess only those who have been on there can say for sure, though.

MotA's sound quality was a technical issue. I tried to fix it with equalization, but there wasn't much I could do, unfortunately.etos45 wrote:The only guest appearance I really had a problem with was MotA. Mexican internet and all that

All of this is still on a learning curve. We've only done 15 episodes, which really, isn't that many.
Hopefully there will be new valiant material soon, and the podcast will continue for a long time, and things will be refined as we go on.

A little cash injection from VEI could help.Dr. Solar wrote:Hopefully there will be new valiant material soon, and the podcast will continue for a long time, and things will be refined as we go on.

"Blood of Heroes" recap
3:54: More nanites, less pants!
6:43: Still no nanites!
10:01: WHERE'S THE BLOOD?!?!?
11:00: Bloodshot gets mentioned
11:19: "A Punisher knock-off"?!?!?
13:15: "I was thirteen"
19:18: "Back to Bloodshot"
19:40: "I really liked the character and I was surprised by that"
22:33: "A History of the Blood of Heroes"
23:09: "They weren't hair dryers"
23:14: "Mark Moretti wrote it" [Forgive them, Mr. VanHook; they know not what they say--KV gave 'shot his Desert Eagle, guys! Don Perlin did the painstaking research and drew the gun correctly]
26:41: "How close is Bloodshot to Jim Shooter's idea of him?" Find out by reading my interview with Shooter about Bloodshot.
30:20: "Six-Million Dollar Man" Theme
31:30: Why Bloodshot wasn't a Speedshot
34:33: [Paraphrased] Bloodshot #0 is the only issue that shows him before he was Bloodshot. [Except for #42, #49, and LAST STAND, which detail Angelo's childhood & teen years
]
37:23: "It says so in Rai #0!" Except Bob Layton stated that it was *possible* Bloodshot survived the draining of the Blood (in a WIZARD interview, I think).
40:23: "I thought he was the actual physical ancestor" [He's not]
41:43: "I bet you anything that [Angelo Mortalli] is the actual physical ancestor of the Rais" [Nope. At least, not that was ever revealed]
42:44: "actual ancestor of the mythical ancestor. I don't know which one" [All we *know* is that Bloodshot was the archetype [which was mentioned in the podcast], according to Granny, who'd been reading Joseph Campbell]
44:33: "There's a huge hole in it from the death of Bloodshot until the birth of the Rais" [a bit is covered in Rai #31-32's "Bad Penny." And Bob Layton once stated, "Many individuals, between the time of Bloodshot's death and the emergence of the new Rai, used the Blood of Heroes. We simply never got the opportunity to tell those stories"]
45:24: A mention of my fansite
57:04: "Yardage"
Regardless of factuality, it was fun. Next time I'll have to have a drink or two while I listen. Nice job, gents! I will listen to them all, eventually.
