Looks like a solid mid-grade copy (with White Pages) of DC Grey Tone goodness.
He's got six-shooter!

I saw an amazing high grade copy of this at San Diego, but the dealer was asking $400, way too high. It looked fantastic though.Jay Tomio wrote:Got this today:

sure am loving this cover.
This whole period for DC was great.
I pick these up in vg mainly for £1.00 or so and they are winners.
It's quite difficult finding all Adams COVERS from the era.

We aren't talking NM/M.Jay Tomio wrote:If it was legit NM/M copy that was a steal IMHO and I would have been more than happy to pay it.Dr. Solar wrote:I saw an amazing high grade copy of this at San Diego, but the dealer was asking $400, way too high. Adventure Comics #346 (First Jim Shooter)
Crime and Punishment #19
Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies #151
Public Enemies #2 (according to the seller, this book was used in The Seduction of the Innocent)
Unusual for me to pick up Golden Age books, but these were cheap and looked cool. The Adventure #346 was an eBay win, while the others were purchased on the CGC boards.

I was impressed with their service at their booth, they were helpful, asked if they could help, were attentive, and had some really nice books. They showed me extra stuff I might be interested in, but without being really pushy to buy. Much better than the average seller. Their grading was good too.Jay Tomio wrote:Yeah, that's too high, though I will say I've bought many books from Bob and he's 100% spot on with grading/service/shipping.
I ended up buying a pretty decent Green Lantern 59 from them.

Independent book spotlight time, here's one you all should check out:
Hot Stuf' #8

Not only does this book sport an awesome Neal Adams cover, but it also features a great story by Ernie Colon, "Manimal" (no connection to the TV show that I am aware of). Most of you will know of Colon's great painted art from Magnus #13-16 and 20. Well, his work in this book is fantastic, as well. This book is an early independent, but Mile High has copies fairly cheap. Check it out!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
