It is UNBELIEVABLE the prices these auctions brought. Absolutely unbelievable.

What an amazing strategy....I think I'll try that. ;)

How in the hell ????
I sent a message to the seller, but of course, the seller couldn't be bothered to respond...

I think what happened is that everyone latched on to the hot book du jour (either 252 or 300), and then saw these multiples of relatively key to super key status....and thought they could get them all in one swoop, without having to wait....

Hence....$65+ per copy of a book that normally sells for $10-$15.

Isanity.

But maybe a very, very clever strategy.

None of those books....and I mean NONE of them, with the exception of 252....has sold for that kind of money in a long, long time.

The 252s were $75+ each.

The Punisher REGULAR series were almost $12 each.

The Witchblade #1s are the only ones that came close to what they normally sell for.

And the Superman 75s? $15 EACH?

Daredevil #181 for $39???

Hulk 340 for $42+ each???

Yow.

Insanity.

I would love to know if the sales follow through.

Even if you got a few 9.8's out of there . . man those are really high. And what are the odds of them really being 9.8 material ?

Freedon Nadd? Was that a culture based on men not wearing underwear? Dear God, I wonder if Kitt Fisto was involved.

About the same as any other auction that advertises "NM" copies.

And for a hell of a lot less......

I know it's rare but Jesus !!!!
This so doesn't make any sense. Why people are bidding stupid money for trades is completely beyond me.

I think Greg likes to wait and see what the trend is going to be. Maybe after a couple more auctions like that he'll change it.

The Armorines #4 I can see going for that much. But the Shadowman #6! :o
Might be time to sell some. :hm:
