3-10 known copies - Ninjak #0 (NYCC Unreleased Edition)NOTE #1: Supposedly all copies of Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe #0 (NYCC Unreleased Edition) were destroyed. This clearly did NOT happen, as a FEW copies still exist and/or have been rarely made available on eBay.NOTE #2: Greg owns four raw copies of this book. There are five graded copies in the census (four Universal and one Signature Series). This confirms at least NINE known copies.

It looks like CGC considers the "all characters" photo cover as cover "B" of the NYCC exclusive. Just one on the CGC Census. 5 known raw copies.

Re: DBS's 100% CONFIRMED "Rare" Print Run Info

100% CONFIRMED:
X-O Manowar (2020) #2 (1:25 Sword of Shanhara Variant) by artist Daniel Warren Johnson will have less than 350 copies printed. It will also have a “Spot Varnish” finish the same as the X-O Manowar (2020) #1 (1:25 Erica Henderson Variant) did.
ADDITIONALLY...
We recently saw images of the X-O Manowar #2 (Gold Edition) online. Yes, this is the first Valiant Gold (that I am aware of) for a #2 issue. They have historically been released for #0s and #1s.
However, the X-O Manowar #2 (Gold Edition) print run will be approx. 50% of what VEI has historically printed for previous gold book.
Say what you will, but I’m certainly going to hunt a copy.

Not feeling the 1:25, even if I was still pulling this title. This however, the rarity, has the collector side of me in full search mode..

Does anyone have an estimate on the print run of 2013 Shadowman #5 Grandpa 1:125 line Variant (first new Dr. Mirage AKA Shan Fong)? I can’t remember if a print run estimate was ever determined on this comic.

Re: DBS's 100% CONFIRMED "Rare" Print Run Info
Nothing confirmed; however, it was released approx. 1-2 months after the Harbinger #8 1:125 Linewide (which we know had 500 copies).Juki wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 7:37 pm Does anyone have an estimate on the print run of 2013 Shadowman #5 Grandpa 1:125 line Variant (first new Dr. Mirage AKA Shan Fong)? Unless it is confirmed at some future point, it is reasonable to conclude that Shadowman #8 1:125 Linewide would have a similar print run of approx. 500 copies. However, as this has not been confirmed, I have not added it to my list.

Re: DBS's 100% CONFIRMED "Rare" Print Run Info
Ok, thanks DBS. It doesn’t seem like the Shadowman #5 Grandpa 1:125 print run has been discussed much in the past. It seems like an important first appearance book that doesn’t come up for sale much anymore lately. The well could run dry eventually if there are truly 500 or less in existence. Especially if there is ever any actual Dr. Mirage tv episodes made as speculated in the past. I won’t hold my breath... but this character would make for an interesting Netflix/Amazon series.DirtbagSailor wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 5:27 amNothing confirmed; however, it was released approx. Yes, I was working an October Top 10, but work went bonkers and required significant attention.
I will release a November Top 10 list shortly.

Re: DBS's 100% CONFIRMED "Rare" Print Run Info
Wow... So, if there were 500 copies of the Harbinger issue 8 1:125 Linewide variant printed (with some of these possibly being destroyed as “extras”).... I wonder what the print run actually was for Shadowman #5 1:125 Linewide variant? Significantly less copies could mean about 200-300 printed. And if any were destroyed as “extras” this one could be a Mega-Sleeper if anything positive is ever done with Dr. Mirage.dino wrote: Thu Apr 29, 2021 12:54 pmIf memory serves we there are significantly more Harbinger 8 1:125 than Shadowman #5 1:125Juki wrote: Fri Nov 13, 2020 5:22 pmOk, thanks DBS. I still wonder about the destruction of extra copies. Was one person in charge of this? Or did that kind of rotate between many people? This could have been done consistently.... or may have been an afterthought and may never really know.

Re: DBS's 100% CONFIRMED "Rare" Print Run Info
Greg and I were just talking about this thread for a while, giving me cause to look at it. In many ways this is such cool info, but in others it's like - God help the general collector who gets interested enough to hunt these down.
In some ways it's fun, but in others this was the kind of release limits that drove me away from the publisher around 2014. Still, I'd be interested in hunting down the Shadowman and Rai stuff I don't have from some of these 200 book limits.
