Caved in... placed my order for all 18 thru Midtown.

Between this, Ed's deal for all the AH #1 covers, and getting multiple chromiums, I might as well just mail Dinesh my debit card.

So, were all 18 issues regular cover price? Assuming that, we're talking 18 x 4 = $72. Ouch. I REALLY want these covers to make this awesome pic, but I just don't know if I'm gonna be able to do it financially unless DCBS spreads it out over a few months.

Just so you guys know, I was offered to be one of the 6 retailers and did not go for it. My decisions had to do with buying a sizeable quantity (won't talk about numbers) of 18 books and then not being able to sell them for much, pretty much cover price.

I see a lot of you saying you'd want them. Would you have paid $10 per book for 18 books? Probably not. So at cover price, and with a high order, I saw no way for me to make money back unless I charged $10 per book, and I was not going to throw that your way, with 18 books. Specially with 5 other stores offering them and at least a couple of them I know will lowball it. I really REALLY wanted to do it, but decided against it. As much as I wanted to do it for the board, I don't think I could get 500 orders here, even at cover price.

I appreciate you looking into this, and personally, I would have maybe paid a little over cover, so for me @ $10/ea I would have passed. Even if it was cover, I might have passed. All these variants are really adding up and I only get the cover priced ones usually


So yeah, as far as me anyway, I would not pay $10 each and like you said, the other stores out there, if they are offering @ cover or close, prob not many here who would pay more, so I completely understand.

Yessir, all 18 at cover price for the amount you calculated. At least it will be spread out over monthly shipments (I think) and that should help lessen the blow!

Not anytime soon, I'd wager. Why offer the art for $5-10 when some people will pay $72 for it, right? Maybe next year if we're lucky though for those that can't do all 18 covers.

Maybe if they do a HC collected edition of all 18 parts they'll include a poster.
