I think we should officially change this thread to a Valiant-themed mother joke thread.

There was a page in Dr Mirage where a coupla baddies break in on Rico while he's in the can. They recoil in horror, holding their noses. Rico: "Hey, it's not supposed to smell like roses!"

Is that in an early issue? I think I have the first 8 or ten issues - that's worth digging up to read :D

Hmm.. thanks for posting this.

So I guess American Wasteland will be a 4 part story? I think we were expecting A&A to end in July (go on hiatus) and Delinquents to take over in August but maybe things have changed ? .. We know now that there will be an issue #25 so perhaps A&A will continue on and we will get both A&A and Delinquents for a couple of months :hope:

Since we already know that they're capping the number of titles, I imagine that there will be a hiatus. I imagine that we'll get A&A early in the month and Delinquents later, and then when there's a spot in the lineup A&A will return.

*UPDATED THE FIRST POST WITH THE FOLLOWING...

August (All confirmed from VEI's website May 14th post in News section)
1. Archer & Armstrong #23
2. Armor Hunters #3 (of 4)
3. Armor Hunters: Bloodshot #2 (of 3)
4. Armor Hunters: Harbinger #2 (of 3)
5. Harbinger: Omegas #1 (of 3)
6. Rai #4
7. The Delinquents #1 (of 4)
8. Unity #10 (part 3 of 4)
9. X-O Manowar #28 (part 3 of 4)

September
1. Armor Hunters #4 (of 4)
2. Armor Hunters: Bloodshot #3 (of 3)
3. Armor Hunters: Harbinger #3 (of 3)

4. Harbinger:Omegas #2 (of 3) (assumed at this point after confirming #1 last month)
5. Rai #5
6. The Death Defying Doctor Mirage #1 (of 5 mini) (Confirmed a 5 issue mini on 21 April from Wondercon)
7. The Delinquints #2 (of 4)
8. Unity #11 (part 4 of 4)
9. X-O Manowar #29 (part 4 of 4)

October
1. Harbinger:Omegas #3 (of 3) (assumed)
2. Rai #6 (assumed)
3. The Death Defying Doctor Mirage #2 (of 5 mini) (assumed)
4. The Delinquints #3 (of 4)
5. Unity #12 (new arc)
6. X-O Manowar #30 (new arc)
7. New #1???
8. ??? Eternal Warrior?
9. ??? Shadowman?

** Edited on 18 May 2014 after confirming August books: Since VEI has stated they aren't going to do more than 9 titles per month for now, I removed the Eternal Warrior #9 and Shadowman Prospective entries from September. With the 3 Armor Hunters mini series ending in September, that will leave 3 slots to be filled in for October. One of those three slots should be a new #1 of something we haven't heard about yet (as of 18 May 2014 at least). That leaves 2 other openings to be filled. Maybe Eternal Warrior returning, or Shadowman, or both?

I don't know why they would tease A&A #25 (and talk about how excited they are about it) if we are not going to get it within the year. So I don't feel like its going to go on some lengthy hiatus.

I think maybe it skips a month (September) .. And comes back with issue #24 in October.

So If October has 3 slots to fill to get to 9 titles

my guess:
1) A&A #24 with new creative team
2) New title - Ninjak maybe?
3) Darque Passages One Shot or Mini-series/Shadowman Halloween special - With it being October, I think something Shadowman related would make sense. I'd like to see some continuation of Shadowman #10 and find out what happened to Sandria and Marius

I would guess either Eternal Warrior or Shadowman in some form in October. As for A&A it could continue from October as well I suppose, or it could wait till after Delinqunets finishes. I could see it either way. Based on the end of the 'State of the Union' interview, I'm guessing that one of the new #1 titles we'll get in October, November, or December will be Armorines. I'd love to see Darque Passages done by Justing Jordan!

Armorines is a possibility - I'd like to see it as a mini-series. Hard Corps is another possibility.

And maybe another 4001 title? Spylocke mini-series I think would be cool also. Psi-Lords?

Also I think we can count on a rebooted Harbinger title or continuation of the current ongoing with issue #26 for November -

Obviously A lot of cool possibilities and cool stuff to look forward to.. :thumb:

Yes please. Although with Milligan taking over - he might have his own ideas about where to take the story of Sandria and Marius.

I agree! Armorines as a mini is fine. Hard CORPS, Spylocke, or Psi-Lords all could be cool and the continuation of Harbinger is a must (as well as Bloodshot, since it seems he is going to be 'the very center of the Valiant universe for some time to come' per Warren). Not even mentioning an eventual Ninjak series (mini or ongoing, unless Unity is his book for the forseeable future). Too much good stuff to limit it to 9 titles, but I guess it's smart to do so for now.

I don't think we will be seeing a SM book during the Dr. Mirage Mini series...since the book fills the supernatural mold of the line.

I suspect after Harada loses it, that after the Omegas mini-series the Harbinger Foundation will no longer exist and consequently that title won't make sense. but I think we will continue to see those characters as Generation Zero or something else.

As a title though, getting rid of one of the presumably stronger brands they have might be odd. I wonder if the Harbinger appellation will be co-opted if Harada is taken out of play? :hm:

I'd like there to be a new VALIANT Visitor, and even recreate the idea of a mystery - with someone new.

If I had to guess, I'd say the "new" title would be something like Harbinger: Generation Zero or Harbinger: Renegades, etc.

I said waaaaaay back that the new Visitor should be Phil Seleski..it would be a great way to reintroduce the character with an adjusted power-set and new alter-ego...Suck my balls, Dynamite.

+1 It could be Faith's ghost.
Flaminghost has a nice ring to it.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

I said waaaaaay back that the new Visitor should be Phil Seleski..it would be a great way to reintroduce the character with an adjusted power-set and new alter-ego...Suck my balls, Dynamite.
What would be better though, a new character called Phil Seleski/Visitor, or a mystery character, using the old conceit but with a new mystery? :hm:

No one wants to re-read a mystery they've read before.
