Alien Legion is back with Uncivil War!

Aaaaand very happy to say, #1 was awesome. Really great to read a solid new story in the Alien Legion setting. It has a great premise & the feel of the better past tales that revolved around a more militaristic scenario. Good to see most of the veteran characters show up too (I could be wrong, but I think there was even an actual Bospor cameo in there! ).

I'll avoid anything spoiler-ish here, just a comment that doesn't give anything away that wasn't mentioned in the solicitation blurbs.

I must say, I always wanted to see a story happen that involved the Harkilons in a conflict again - they were always a really cool major antagonist in the Tophan Galactic Union, too good to remain at peace forever. The 'Civil War' that is behind the title of this mini is within the Imperial Harkilon Empire. Great stuff.

Also, the standard Legion military armor has been redesigned here, and I think it looks fantastic! I could tell it was a little different from the preview pages before, but really cool to see the look in the full issue.

Gonna make my monthly journey to my LCS this weekend. I would've gone last weekend but holidays throw everything in a tailspin.

On a brighter note, my copy of On the Edge arrived the other day so I have plenty of good Legion reading to look forward to.

It's another reprint TPB collection. I wish it was new stuff though!

Did anyone else enjoy Un-civil War? I still have to read the final issue, but really like it up through 3 issues.

Loved the heck out of it. Read all 4 issues at once. The only thing it could make it better is some Clayton Crain art.

Ugh, I am so backlogged in reading titles right now, I've bought all the current issues so far but wanted to finish reading On The Edge TPB before reading them. (I'd gotten about halfway through the trade before getting sidetracked. Pretty good story so far, the black hole plight, the unknown alien aggressors, Tamara's concerns about her child, and of course, Jugger controlling the needed supplies. )

Yeah, man - glad you got OtE, it's one of my favourites. Almost on par with the Slaughterworld storyline from the early issues of volume 1.

I only had the first 2 issues of OtE for like... a decade! before I finally got the last part of it. I recall buying the first issue off the shelf new, but couldn't afford the rest at the time on my teenager budget. I found the 2nd issue in a cheapie bin a few years later, and finally resorted to eBay for the last one about 5 years ago.
