Hooray! So *THAT'S* what the rat was all about! I can't wait to see PET Weapons on the shelf!BugsySig wrote:Tell me you wouldn't buy that? Someone get Dino on the phone! I suppose it could make for a plot device though...

Boom... Harbinger jumps to my #1 slot of favorite Valiant (VEI) titles. Loved ALL of the art (both styles) and the wrap up of the really long (yet nothing really happened Marvelesque Summer Slam) storyline. Still everything about this issue for me was superb (!!!), especially the retro scenes. I was genuinely grossed out by the head on Director Carter !! He would make a great bad guy in current times but met a fitting end in the past. Not that his story is 100% over, he could possibly be hiding in that convient time perversion thing.
I see Hairsine on the new Eternal Warrior title. While I will miss his style on Harbinger, I am sure he will breath a lot of life into Eternal Warrior. I wonder if they will keep him doing the 'history flashback' art at the beginning of each issue or throughout?
Way to go Valiant !!! Great job on Harbinger #14.

The head was grim. I didn't really see how he could fit it all into that little hat too... Brains must be really squishy.Knightt wrote:I was genuinely grossed out by the head on Director Carter !! He said something like "I can see every molecule in the universe!" just before he blew up (or whatever happened). I wonder, if given long enough he can 'do the Doctor Manhattan' (Watchmen) and reassemble himself to come back and scupper Harada's plans another day? As grim as the character is, I wouldn't be averse to seeing a buffed, more controlled and powerful Carter face off against Harada somewhere down the line!

I could go for that as well as long as Valiant somehow stuck to the 'where dead is dead' mantra of the V-Universe. I think him being all skinny though would add to his oogly-booglyness.Shadowman99 wrote:The head was grim. I didn't really see how he could fit it all into that little hat too... Ha ha, yes indeed. Your use of the word "grim" made me chuckle !! Grim indeed !Shadowman99 wrote:The head was grim.
If the main character didn't come back one day, perhaps a 'molecule' of him could continue to grow over the years as a kind of even darker echo to take on Harada or Peter one day.

Yeah, I think this 'reassembly' idea could work well enough as long as Valiant can justify their 'dead is dead' rule adequately by writing Carter a maintained consciousness post 1969 implosion. Given the way the character and his abilities were portrayed in Harbinger #14 it's certainly not unreasonable or ridiculous I feel.Knightt wrote:I could go for that as well as long as Valiant somehow stuck to the 'where dead is dead' mantra of the V-Universe.
