Rufus - it may only be Kris but it's a very nice sketch. Although, I can't figure out why she has her eyes closed. She looks like she's trying to squeeze out a fart. No offense to the artist. It is a very nice sketch.

One artist made an Alyssa sketch card. I would feel jobbed if I ended up with that one.

I wouldn't mind an Alyssa card. I like her character. That Kris card would actually be quite nice if her eyes weren't closed. WTH?

Wrong. The lamest sketch card would be a Winnebago.Blood of Heroes wrote:Depluto and I concluded that an Ingrid sketch card would be the lamest.tchalla8 wrote:One artist made an Alyssa sketch card. I would feel jobbed if I ended up with that one.

Do you have something against just the Winnebago or do you find all indigenous tribes equally lame? I take it your not a Turok fan.greg wrote:Wrong. I agree with this assessment, too. I am out of the card collecting game, but know what I'd like to see?Elveen wrote:lorddunlow wrote:These seem to vary widely in quality.
I'd agree. I saw a few of them, and some (for me) were much better.
Valiant artist cards. On one side, their favorite sketch they've done of a VEI character. Doesn't even have to be from a book they've worked on. The other side, the artist info. And I'm geeky enough to want to hear what their favorite tools are (brush pen, digital...whatever). I'd actually collect these cards. Writer cards, too! Yet something else for me to obsess over and have signed.

Re: 2013 Valiant Preview Sketch card thread
I believe the artist interpreted the way she was drawn by say, Khari Evans, that she is Asian. When I first saw the character as drawn By Evans I thought so too but I remember Evans has a tendency to make his females look sorta Asian or at least draws them sorta anime, Manga style.

Good call!x-omatic wrote:Could be she's closing her eyes because of the debris flying around her??

(I wouldn't be very happy with the Kris sketch either, but at least there is debris that might explain it.)
