Re: Who are some creators you'd like VEI to hire?
Aja could fit on almost anything, but bloodshot, ninjak or rai would be great. Vei tends to rotate artists on arcs. Aja could do that.MarrowMan wrote:Aja would be PERFECT on Ninjak!jdmoonie77 wrote:David Mack on Rai
John Romita Jr on Eternal Warrior
30 Days of Night creative team on Shadowman
Sean Chen on X-O Manowar
Whilce Portacio on Harbinger
David Aja on Ninjak
Also, Mahmoud Asrar announced that he is done on Supergirl and is working on another project. He could do anything and is the type of guy that has built a respectable following. Give him Harbinger.

Here I'll make it simple:
David Aja on anything
Jeff Lemire on anything
How's that?

Re: Who are some creators you'd like VEI to hire?
Kieth can be a little cartoony, however if you take a look at some of his darker books (Ojo, 30 days of night, and almost any batman he did) you would see how well he'd work on a shadowman story.shadow5555 wrote:I haven't seen Sam's work since the Marvel / Maxx days, but I feel it might be too cartoony for Shadowman, sure he can do dark, but very exaggerated like.Magnus9178 wrote:Sam Kieth on Shadowman!
Also, I would love to see Ron Marz write XO again
I hope the Ron Marz suggestion is a joke, seriously. He ruined X-O for me with his run, shallow and bascially taking everything Layton and Gonzalez did and throwing it out and crapping on it, overall his issues almost equal the power dump that Layton took on the book in issue #68, the literal wtf moment of the entire X-O series, which cheated the fans and should have never existed, and was Layton's attempt to do a last minute purge of everything Marz created (which says something if one of X-O's creators went to that length to retcon everything he did) anyway...your entitled to your opinion, but man I still do hope you're joking...
As for Marz, regardless of how people feel for the direction he took XO, it was a well written story. Overall he's a brilliant writer, most of his stuff is worth picking up. Of course all writters can have low points, but I rarely see that with Marz. Also, when a writer is hired to take a character in a "new direction" then that's what they are going to do, hence with the case of him on XO.

I don't think this name has cropped up, but i would love to see a series of covers (maybe 1 months worth of variant covers) by Travis Charest.
I'd also like to see someone like Cully Hamner on Quantum and Woody.

The more I think about it, Liss on Dr. Mirage would just be perfect.Lord Infamous wrote:BugsySig wrote: Agreed. Oh Liss and Zircher on Shadowman would have been awesome, he'd just kill it on a Dr. Mirage book

I would probably finally drop Shadowman were it to fall victim to the harsh scrawling of Bill Sienkiewicz.kjjohanson wrote:I'd love to see Bill Sienkiewicz and/or Klaus Janson on Shadowman

As mentioned in another thread, here's my picks:
Edgar Rice Burroughs on Eternal Warrior
Jules Verne on X-O
Isaac Asimov on Magnus (if they ever get the rights)
Carl Sagan on Solar
Rod Serling on Shadowman (Alfred Hitchcock alternating)
John Steinbeck on Archer & Armstrong (for the Lennie and George relationship)
William Shakespeare on Harbinger (cuz he's always writing about the folly of kings, like Harada)
Moe, Larry and Curly on Quantum and Woody
