As a person living along the northern border, I will say I grew up thinking of Canada as a sort of "brother country" just across the way. I've got nothing against Canada. I just wish you guys would tell Don Cherry to stop stealing upholstery and taking it to the tailor.MarkRoseHFX wrote:Chiclo wrote:Hey, now. indeed sirI like pulling out the "Upper Mexico/Upper Mexican" as my name for the US and Americans as a way to poke fun of the Americans that think of us as just Upper America. And I know you're far from clueless about the world you're quite intelligent actually that's why i tossed in the European economic situation into Ask Chiclo bc i really did want your opinion on it

I always though Bieber just sort of came out of the ether, like a monster from the collective id of so many tween girls...MarkRoseHFX wrote:xodacia81 wrote: As a person living along the northern border, I will say I grew up thinking of Canada as a sort of "brother country" just across the way. Poor Canadia. They could have had it all - English culture, American technology and French cuisine. Instead they get English cuisine, American culture and French technology.
I do listen to Robin Sparkles, though. She's Canadian.
Don't trust a country that eliminates pennies! Canadia, New Zealand, none of them!
and thats like saying the upper half of the states talk like new englanders and the lower half of the states talk like hillbillies
He's just poking fun at Canada. The lower half of the states do talk like hillbillies.

When I had mine, I bought a 1994 white 911 Targa with a whaletail and only 32,000 miles.slimydog wrote:Old school VH1 fan, but was too broke to get them at that time. Had to read off of my friends' floppies. Now, with mid-life crisis coming up, I'm getting all the VH1 back plus the new shiet - and my mid-life Porsche. j/k.
Looked like this, but in white. Speedometer went to 150, the fastest I ever had it is 115 and when I pushed the pedal it still threw your head back in the seat. You could feel that the car just wanted to go fast.
The clutch was a real *SQUEE* though, engaged really high and quick in the footstroke. When I was stopped at a light going uphill, I was always terrified that I'd roll backwards into the guy behind me or rocket into the car in front of me.

I don't go into bars or pools so that doesn't really seem any more convenient to me.Dr. Solar wrote:I was in Mexico a month ago, and it was awesome. There was a bar IN the pool.Chiclo wrote:Hey, now. I always joke with people that I should have been a Canadian as my 2 favorite sports are lacrosse and hockey.

This thread doesn't seem to be about this anymore
but I'm a new Valiant fan. I got excited for Harbinger somehow (interview, Previews, cover, maybe a podcast but I can't recall) and added it to my DCBS order and then added X-O #2 as well. I went to my nearest comic shop for FCBD and got the Aja cover for X-O #1 and I've gotten all the titles since then (though not all the covers) and plan to follow the rest of the titles that come out from Valiant.

Welcome. Nice work getting the thread back on topic. We get easily distracted sometimes.
